Historia
It is July 1976 and history hangs heavily over Germania - the Welthauptstadt – ‘World Capital’ of the Europa Reich with its great Olympic Park built over the top of and dwarfing the footprint of Adolf Hitler’s 1936 stadia. Thirty years into the ongoing Cold War between the United States and the Third Reich, the Summer Olympiad is returning to the city after a gap of four decades. For the first time since the Second World War the first city of the Reich is being opened up to the world media. While most people look forward to a festival of sport, and the Nazi regime to an ...

Bad Narrator
Revisado: 05-05-25
AI narrator detracts from an otherwise great alternate universe story. This is the second book in the Europa Reich series. Moonshot, the first book in the series, is extensively referenced in this book. Both postulate a universe where Germany doesn't declare war on the US and wins WW II at a great cost. The ramifications are projected into 1976 both in the US and Germany. I would recommending reading Moonshot first. It's the story of the German moon landings with an undercurrent of political intrigue that continues in Olympiad.

Historia
Arabella is a proud woman of Victorian England who rebels against the puritanical norms of society. She learns early in life that she loves the pleasures of sex and is in no way ashamed of her feelings. In fact, she felt sorry for women who did not experience the joys of sex but saw it merely as a rather "shameful duty". She describes, in great detail, the many “erotic adventures” she and her friends participate in behind the closed doors of fashionable Victorian homes.

Great story, poor narration
Revisado: 12-11-23
Uneven reading made the story hard to understand. The story was a fun telling of Victorian sex.

Historia
Niblock House is a rising executive at General Technics, one of a few all-powerful corporations. His work is leading General Technics to the forefront of global domination, both in the marketplace and politically - it's about to take over a country in Africa. Donald Hogan is his roommate, a seemingly sheepish bookworm. But Hogan is a spy, and he's about to discover a breakthrough in genetic engineering that will change the world...and kill him. Society is squeezed into hive-living madness by god-like mega computers and mass-marketed psychedelic drugs.

Classic? Are You Kidding?
Revisado: 09-08-23
The author calls this a "non novel". That's the truth. It is a jumble of two main stories mixed with several secondary stories and somewhat senseless remarks on a future society. These are mixed it a way that makes the stories unnecessarily difficult to follow. It takes incredible patience to listen to the end. I bet many readers stop listening much earlier.

Completely Different Alien Story
Revisado: 06-02-18
The children of the story mirror the human evolution with their progress from simple hunters to an advanced, space faring species. There are many hazards along the way like war, plague, religious fervor, and alien invasion. However, in this case the monster alien invaders are humans. The author creates a very believable history of a species subtly different from our own with a very different view of how to defeat their enemies. Along the way the author tells a parallel story of the desperate attempt of the last survivors from a dying earth to find a home. In whole the story is a different take on SF themes.

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.
