If you're considering beginning a motivational coach to help people with nutrition, fitness, and overall health, this comprehensive resource outlines what to keep in mind, how to develop good listening techniques, and how to hone your communication skills.

Mental toughness in teen athletes
For athletes or coaches, this book can help you find a systematic approach (such as the movement-performance-skill pyramid) to preparing their mind and body for competitive sports. Great recommendations on how to recover from heartache and rejection, get away from simpler distractions (social media), and incorporate visualization or meditation exercises to improve sleep and performance. There are lots of examples of resilience - people who got through major injuries, rejection, and mental health challenges, and went on to become some of the greatest athletes of all time.

In a future version of both books, I would suggest adding chapter titles so you can find the topics you want to go back to.

Not everyone wants to take pharmaceutical meds the moment a health challenge arises. Herbal Remedies for Beginners offers a ton of natural, herbal solutions to everyday health issues. It's a practical guide with helpful descriptions of various common (and some not so commonly known) herbs. Some of these remedies are ancient treatments for digestive wellness, better immunity and energy. The book outlines step-by-step how to prepare your own remedies and what they can help heal. The chapters are laid out by issue, so it's easy to navigate to the topic you need, whether that's Concentration, Stress, etc. I appreciated the chapters on digestive wellness and sleep.

Truly hope people read this book. If you suffer from anxiety (and so many do), an inability to be alone, or the habit of catastrophizing people's reactions to you, you may not realize how much it's impacting your relationships and quality of life. This book is full of valuable information on how to identify your own challenges with anxious attachment. It offers strategies to start making changes, so you can better communicate and understand how your partner or family members perceive your anxiety. Sometimes this shows up as clinginess (which can make them further disengage from you). The "avoid always and never" in conversations hit deep, as well as the techniques to calm the mind when you can't stop replaying your daily interactions. The info is laid out clearly, with examples on how to center yourself when waiting for a response from someone, or finding new ways to connect with your inner value. Highly recommend!

From energy, environmental sustainability, to water, to repurposing materials, even to safety, this book covers it all. It's full of details on how to live and thrive independently, offering a complete guide for beginners thinking about going off the grid. The book effectively lays out what to look for when starting out, including different types of solar panel, and the nitty-gritty on installing wind turbines. It didn't have as much info on where to obtain these, however, or where to inquire for critical legal information from your local government (for rainwater, e.g., or needed permits). But it does flag those points at which you will want to reach out for guidance. Thinking about creating a more sustainable, independent life that's more in harmony with nature? Then you need this book.

Really enjoyed this book and the simple, step-by-step descriptions of easy to manage pilates exercises, from breathing, to stretching, to strengthening. This is an excellent resource for seniors, for sure. But anyone still working at their desks in need of some movement or anyone recovering from injuries who still needs a gentle way to maintain strength and mobility could benefit. The author's personal story was motivational, and the book is so encouraging, it was tough not to start following along with the exercises. Appreciate the accompanying PDF with helpful illustrations, and online videos to help build your practice. Each chapter gives a good overview, while individual workouts focused on strength, balance or upper or lower body and mobility are convenient and fun. Great to have the 28-day plan built right in. Highly recommend

This is written and narrated clearly, with easy to understand information on adult ADHD, different types of it, how it can make time or project management harder, AND how it can add creativity and spark to any process. It's a great resource, especially for adults who have been recently diagnosed with ADHD or have been struggling with what they think might be ADHD-like issues. There's guidance on how to get support through community, therapy or activities that boost mental and physical health, and resources to help limit devices, distractions, and social media. Highly recommend this book to anyone learning about their own neurodivergence, or wanting to learn more in support of family or friends with ADHD.

This book's a good place to start for beginners and anyone looking to expand their knowledge of how herbs such as chamomile, ashwagandha and lavender can be used to heal or treat a multitude of issues. You'll learn how to create your own combinations, tinctures, and teas, and about the process and approvals needed for selling your herbal remedies. There are some unusual pronunciations in the narration (valerian, basil, others). Overall this is a helpful guide for learning about a wide variety of remarkable, natural, medicinal herbs.

It also encourages you to learn to take some (smart) risks and be strategic about your business ideas. With lots of examples of iconic brands and companies, and highlights of how now famous products and services were born, the author outlines how every successful entrepreneur embraced failure and used it to fuel a better idea or solution to a problem. The book covers everything from funding strategies, to branding, to pivoting when demand or markets change, to sustaining a healthy goods or services business once past the startup phase. The Bonus section has particularly helpful resources. Recommend for anyone needing a reality check and confidence boost to start a business.

This book's got a wealth of information: tips on the traps that motivate people to make purchases (behavioral and emotional reasons why we spend, and what we spend on), global finance, digital currencies, background on crypto, and investing, etc. The Sustainable Treasure Map and the real estate investment chapters, and the periodic exercises were helpful. It does feel more geared toward adult listeners than teens, but these are great skills for young people, too, giving them a head start on saving and investing wisely. Recommend for anyone looking for a good overview on managing money.

A detailed roadmap for retirement planning that breaks down all the investment options and strategies. The book's geared toward those who have some sort of portfolio in place or people familiar with basic investment types and terms (bonds, withdrawals, 401k, dividends). Really appreciate the toolkit PDF with the audiobook for going through the exercises, and the simple examples included throughout. This is a comprehensive book covering different approaches for investing, even during a downturn (guardrails vs. variable percentage withdrawal strategies). I would suggest breaking up chapters into shorter segments or subchapters, especially those first few. They cover a whole lot of important information, it's easy to get lost in the lengthy chapters. Also, certain examples, strategies with diagrams, graphs or charts "below", or with different percentages may not translate as well to audiobook format, though the toolkit does help a great deal. The narration keeps things dynamic and this book lays out a set of manageable steps for financial longevity. Highly recommend for anyone seriously looking to learn about how to better manage their retirement plan.
