Had to stop before finishing. The worst reader ever… tried to slow her voice down to get through but the timber is so off.
The story lacks the charm of uprooted and spinning. Characters are obnoxious and childish. Very disappointing. If I could return the book unfinished I would.

I agree with another review- it’s mystery how this hook has a four plus rating. Maybe it’s better if read in a book rather than listening. The reader is really hard to listen too… so I didn’t. I happily skipped to the last two chapters where I was incredibly relieved to be done. Bad stuff baby.

An excellent addition to the times we all live, I laughed and loved with this presentation. I like to believe that miss Austen would have reveled in this rendition of Lydia and her choices. I’m going to recommend all over my world.

a pathetic nod to lord of the rings

I read this series when it first came out. I'm embarrassed I finished it then, and even more to have recently "listened" to it, telling myself, "I must have been snobbish ". No, I was right then.
Embarrassed for the complete lack of originality and complete inability to give my imagination a chance. Brooks is for empty headed dander heads.
