there's no 3rd book,overall this is an excellent story, well written and knowledgeable.ive listened to entire series 3 times. we need a 3rd book PLEASE.

Good Story/series so far lots of room for the story to unfold,maddening at times.but there's a method to it.some interesting bush craft also included.loved it looking forward to Book 3.

Great beginning to a new series ,Hopf blends realistic scenarios and vivid depictions of a redeveloping destroyed world,the systems people (choose) to live under and the evil that permeates the earth.Love the new characters and the possibilities for story lines.as usual top notch work.very entertaining,I am looking forward to Dead End.

I enjoyed the story and its relevance to current world events,good pace and plenty of solid characters and plot.I would have liked a little more detail on the outside world and battlefield Texas,maybe a book with a resolution to the occupation.

The Beginning of something Great.

As usual G. Michael Hopf delivers,a new take on the modern world and the many threats faced.
he builds up the story with an Arsenal of characters and a solid plot.the action is well paced and I listened to the book in 24 hours.
looking forward to the story continuing. a very timely read.

There is no Hope?

I truly enjoyed the series and all the characters,the entire premise puts a new twist on an apocalyptic standard.pandemic/zombies?.the story moved along well and my only complaint is the apparent poor performance of military personnel.but I would recommend it to anyone interested in a good long story.very entertaining.

have really enjoyed the series and even though the story slowed it does tie up things and prepare you for the continuing saga of the Cascadians.plus more back ground to continue to build a really good story full of characters.

A good Apocolypse story,that starts out with a variety of characters and how a disaster begins their new journey thru a crumbling America.series is very good and story is fluid and keeps you pulled in.
