Historia
As a child, Jory Fleming was wracked by uncontrollable tantrums, had no tolerance for people, and couldn’t manage the outside world. Slightly more than a decade later, he was bound for England, selected to attend one of the world’s premier universities. How to Be Human explores life amid a world constructed for neurotypical brains when yours is not. But the miracle of this book is that instead of dwelling on Jory’s limitations, those who inhabit the neurotypical world will begin to better understand their own.

A dark cloud is what this story is about
Revisado: 12-12-22
Greaney has again delivered an exciting story of one of my favorite characters in Gentry. An infallible mercenary with a credo to do bad to worse people. Snyder is topping my list as my favorite Narrator. He is simply better than good portraying characters, cadence, accents, inflections, etc.
Gentry has an underlying ethical boundary that gets him into life or death situations due to the nature of being an assassin. The ethical boundary is at odds with " Do not Kill" social, moral, ethical premise of modern society.
I am sure Mark Greaney has done his homework to be able to list the unbelievable statistics on human trafficking. I also imagine this story is equally appalling but factual of how trafficking is done. These reasons alone allow the reader to agree that Gentry is a saint and is cheering him on to rid our world of these greedy people can be so inhuman.
As with the previous six novels of the Gray Man, the odds are low with high danger of success in his missions. Gentry is able to survive, albeit wounded and on the brink of death. His missions may not be 100% to "success" but no one can argue that they are ineffective. You will enjoy this shoot em up running havoc and destruction on the way action/ thriller book.

Greaney Scores another win with Gray Man
Revisado: 10-24-22
The Gray Man series is one of the best in espionage and intrigue. Jay Snyder has narrated all of the books and is one of the best in the business. excellent with inflection, accents, and interpretation of the characters bringing them alive. This 8th book in the series delivers as well as all others. If your looking for a good book of suspense, spies, assassins, diabolical bad guys bent on world chaos then this is a great book. You do not need to start from the first book, Each can stand on its own merits. This particular book outlines the plot to kill all high ranking officials of western intelligence agencies called the 5 I with a sophisticated but simple to deploy weapon. Unfortunately the weapon is released, but its full potential is thwarted by Gray Man and the rest of the three man "poison apple" off book CIA operatives that really were not intended to work together. The book incorporates personal hardships for one of the team members who must overcome the intimate deep feelings to have to kill their own flesh and blood to save the world.

Historia
After five years on the run, Court Gentry is back on the inside at the CIA. But his first mission makes him wish he had stayed on the outs when a pair of Chinese agents try to take him down in Hong Kong. Normally the Chinese prefer to stay eyes-only on foreign agents. So why are they on such high alert? Court's high stakes hunt for answers takes him across Southeast Asia and leads to his old friend, Donald Fitzroy, who is being held hostage by the Chinese.

Of the Gray man Series, this is one of two best
Revisado: 09-15-22
The storyline takes you throughout Asia as Court has to deal with gangs, US, China, and the Russian military special forces. This book however brings in a more intimate side of Court, one that adds to the intrigue of the story. The gist of the story is essentially a mess created much earlier with a bittersweet outcome. Not going to spoil the read for you, but this book is hard to put down.

After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. A Mystery the Big Bang characters would love
Revisado: 03-07-22
This is my first book of the Millennium Series . it will not be the last. Steig Larsson is also the second author I have read where English is not the primary language. I truly enjoyed the Translation. Some my find the use of mathematical references and names taken from comic book characters as unnecessary and trivial. truly though they are integral to the story of international computer security and international computer hacking with very damaging consequences. Lisbeth Salandar is a truly gifted computer hacker, yet she is not the most brilliant when it comes to breaking unimaginable primary number encryption. But she did it. She is truly astonishing as a human as well, enough for the adrenaline jockeys to enjoy. As for character portrayal, Simon Vance has joined as the third and newest narrator for me. there are plenty of characters that he played so strikingly well that leaves you to wonder which one is the biggest bastard. This story was well blended with interesting factoid and comic book references that the guys and Gals of Big Bang would love it

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

For novice science geeks, a must read
Revisado: 12-09-21
Grace, as you will be introduced to him narrates the entire story of a very bright middle school science teacher who becomes the savior of the earth and another planet.
The sun is loosing it's strength much earlier than a star of it's size is supposed to. An unbelievable culprit is stealing the sun's energy, not in malice, but as part of it's microscopic urge to stay alive and propagate. It's traveled from the not so far depths of space to do so. Grace must go to it's beginning path to find out why and to figure out how to stop it, though not by himself initially.
Theories, laws of physics, relativity, and the encounter of other life forms is vividly described in this story. The quips of humor spattered throughout the story as well as life and death precarious situations involving much sacrifice are told.
Andy Weir has weaved a very good story in this book about Space, Humanity, Sacrifice, and the fragile earth. He has provided a glimpse of other possible life in our universe. I have not read an enjoyable book as this one in some time now.
Ray Porter narrated this story extremely well. inflections, accents, fluctuations in Octive brought the many characters alive and in many stressful situations. If I were able to award more than 4 stars I would. I want to say he may be at the top of my list of narrators.

Revisado: 11-28-21
The story was well developed as well as the characters. Coben laced in smart-aleck-y humor into the characters. For me I found this to be a strong point for the book. the ending of the book I found to be a bit confusing. Podehl performed very well, and portrayed characters well.
