Historia
The world's greatest problem-solvers, forecasters, and decision-makers all rely on a set of frameworks and shortcuts that help them cut through complexity and separate good ideas from bad ones. They're called mental models, and you can find them in dense textbooks on psychology, physics, economics, and more. Or, you can just listen to Super Thinking, a fun, illustrated guide to every mental model you could possibly need.

Historia
Some of the toughest decisions we face are just clashes between different frames. It is perfectly rational to value the same thing differently in two different frames, even when the decision-maker knows that these are really two sides of the same coin. Frame It Again sheds new light on the structure of moral predicaments, the nature of self-control, and the rationality of cooperation.

Imagine there was an evil alien society that had this bizarre interest in hunting humans for leisure. Now, imagine they prepared a full guide to teach their own kind how we think, socialize, and most of all, how to spot our weaknesses. Finally, imagine that you got your hands on a copy of one of those guides. Wouldn’t you want to read it to understand if there really is a threat? If there was, wouldn’t you want to learn what the aliens know about us to better prepare to defend yourself and those you love?

Muslim and non Muslim alike will benefit greatly from listening.

Historia
In this irreverent and illuminating audiobook, acclaimed writer and scientist Leonard Mlodinow shows us how randomness, chance, and probability reveal a tremendous amount about our daily lives, and how we misunderstand the significance of everything from a casual conversation to a major financial setback. As a result, successes and failures in life are often attributed to clear and obvious causes, when in actuality they are more profoundly influenced by chance.

Excellent....if...
Revisado: 12-31-21
This is one of the best audiobook I've listened to on the topic.
However, it might not be for you if you don't like the authors sense of humor (I like his type of "side comments").
There are a lot of numbers thrown at you while listening, and for me that's ok.
I realize that I'm not going to learn probability and statistics by listening to an audiobook: generally, one needs to actually study & utilize things to learn them.
The value of audiobooks is two fold:
1) You will learn things (maybe not everything in the book, but at a minimum - something).
2) By just listening your mind will be primed for future learning.
- think about how a child is influenced by the conversations of adults around them: everything they hear imprints in their mind.
I advocate that you buy the book.
