Historia
Vampires have always lived in Eastern Europe. But with the fall of the Soviet Union, they began to spread across the continent, then the world, turning whole populations into vampires - or human cattle. Having overrun India, the far East, and the great cities of North and South America, the forces of Night are now spreading into the countryside to consolidate their conquest.

Action-packed Read
Revisado: 12-06-22
This novel should be a movie, or TV Series. It was a fairly consistent thrill ride, from start, to finish. Any Vampire Novel worth its fangs, should have Vamps from Open to close, and this one does! There are some questionable continuity issues sprinkled throughout, but nothing too outrageous. A thoroughly enjoyable listen.

An Honest Take On Loving In The New Millennium
Revisado: 01-12-19
The information, and strategies, to enhance intimacy, which the author provided, are an insightful glympse, into the mind of a Loving Person, or couples, trying to see if they are loving their mate correctly, or, being themselves, loved correctly, in return. I found the knowledge credible, and the narrator has a delightful voice, and tone. Good luck, all you thoughtful, or confused lovers

Historia
As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey.

Excellent Performances
Revisado: 01-03-19
I really enjoyed the professional-actors, cast here, and their performances were truly, cinema-quality! The effects ND sound engineering were truly first class, as well. The story was engaging, and bridged the gap between Alien, and Aliens, very nicely.

Historia
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

Historia
Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

Long. Circuitous. Should have been half the length
Revisado: 08-30-18
It was hard to catch the narrative, as it jumps not so clearly, between eras. Made it hard to be entertained, much less horrified, scared, shocked, or any other inspiration.

Historia
In 1985, Anthony Ray Hinton was arrested and charged with two counts of capital murder in Alabama. Stunned, confused, and only 29 years old, Hinton knew that it was a case of mistaken identity and believed that the truth would prove his innocence and ultimately set him free. But with an incompetent defense attorney and a different system of justice for a poor black man in the South, Hinton was sentenced to death by electrocution. He spent his first three years on Death Row at Holman State Prison in despairing silence.

Sad commentary, on American Injustice
Revisado: 07-09-18
I struggle with the fact that this book even exists, but as an example of personal courage, and fortitude, I find it encouraging, and a an illustration of how Love, and indomitable will, go hand in hand, when fighting for justice, and truth.

Historia
If the past is prologue, then George R. R. Martin's masterwork - the most inventive and entertaining fantasy saga of our time - warrants one hell of an introduction. At long last, it has arrived with The World of Ice & Fire. This volume is a comprehensive history of the Seven Kingdoms, providing vividly constructed accounts of the epic battles, bitter rivalries, and daring rebellions that lead to the events of A Song of Ice and Fire and HBO's Game of Thrones.

This book g covers everything hinted at but never explained fully in the Got Universe. Similar to Tolkien's Silmarillion, in scope. A great read. Thanks George RR Martin, for this treat!

Really good stories
Revisado: 03-30-18
Most of the stories were excellent. A few were merely pretty good. And the narrator kept mispronouncing "Ser," in the final tale, which mildly, but consistently annoys me, as a SOIAF Fan.

Historia
When struggling riverboat captain Abner Marsh receives an offer of partnership from a wealthy aristocrat, he suspects something’s amiss. But when he meets the hauntingly pale, steely-eyed Joshua York, he is certain. For York doesn’t care that the icy winter of 1857 has wiped out all but one of Marsh’s dilapidated fleet. Nor does he care that he won’t earn back his investment in a decade. York has his own reasons for wanting to traverse the powerful Mississippi. And they are to be none of Marsh’s concern - no matter how bizarre, arbitrary, or capricious his actions may prove.

Decent story, except...
Revisado: 03-05-18
I thought the story was decent, but all the bandying of the N-word, not just in dialectic speak, but in narration, left me non-plussed, and wondering aloud, why?it's 21st Century America. Even if used in the speech of some of the characters is understand, but not in the descriptive narrative. I'm side-eying the "American Tolkien," from now on. Never read such vulgarity, at any point, in The Hobbit, or The Silmarrilion...
