Historia
When a man is shot dead on Martha Kleen’s doorsteps, Clint Wolf’s first order of business is to identify the victim. This is no easy task, but once the man's identity is confirmed, Clint is left with more questions than answers. He develops a few suspects early on, and one of them is a ghost of a man. However, there are more than a few pieces of his crime puzzle missing, and tying one suspect to the murder could be a challenge. Will the burglary of a local hardware store lead to the arrest of the guilty party, or will it muddy the waters of Clint's investigation?

I've read all the books in this series. I enjoyed this one the most. it seemed as tho the author was more comfortable and in tune with her characters.
The story line was good, never a dull moment. I enjoyed it very much and can hardly wait for #6,
"Under Pressure".

Historia
It is New Year's Eve, nearly six weeks into an off-and-on blizzard that has locked Alaska down, effectively cutting it off from the outside world. But now there are reports of a plane down in the Quilak mountains. With the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board - responsible for investigating aviation incidents) unable to reach the crash site, ex-trooper Jim Chopin is pulled out of retirement to try to identify the aircraft, collect the corpses, and determine why no flight has been reported missing. But Jim discovers survivors: two children who don't speak a word of English.

I've read all Dana's books.
All the characters are to rich and full, I feel that I know them. My "Mutt" was named Lakota, half wolf and half husky. He was my best friend for 11 years. I had wanted to move to Alaska when they were giving land. Never made it but these special books made me wish I could have. Dana is blessed.

Historia
The first storm comes from, of all places, the Minnesota zoo. Two large and very rare Amur tigers have vanished from their cage, and authorities are worried sick that they've been stolen for their body parts. Traditional Chinese medicine prizes those parts for home remedies, and people will do extreme things to get what they need. Some of them are a great deal more extreme than others - as Virgil is about to find out.

Book was great, twisry, interesting. Reader was much better too although she still doesn't pronounce her "t"s. She has a lot of trouble with syllable placing but her voice usage is very good, much improved.

A very meaningful And timely book. I not only enjoyed the story and all the characters but found myself emotionally and intellectually involved with both sorrow and joy and prayers to be a better person. Mr. Freeman you have managed to put into words the fact that we are all alike in the beginning and in our hearts. Hopefully we can learn to keep that thought in our hearts and minds as we go through our lives. Thank You

Historia
Everyone knew Len Dreyer, a handyman for hire in the Park near Niniltna, Alaska, but no one knew anything else about him. Even Kate Shugak hired him to thin the trees on her 160-acre homestead and was planning to ask him to help build a small second cabin on her property for Johnny Morgan, a teenaged boy in her care. But she, the Park's unofficial p.i., seems to have known less about him than anyone.
