Historia
Cujo is a 200-pound Saint Bernard, the best friend Brett Camber has ever had. One day Cujo chases a rabbit into a cave inhabited by sick bats. What happens to Cujo, how he becomes a horrifying vortex inescapably drawing in all the people around him, makes for one of the most heart-stopping novels Stephen King has ever written.

sad to revisit
Revisado: 07-26-24
I have been an SK fan since 1976 when I bought the paperback of "Salem's Lot". But, after 40 years, "Cujo" just doesn't hold up well. The writing seems a little immature and, for goodness sake, how about some editing.

Don't bother
Revisado: 07-19-24
I am a Scott Brick fan, which is why I got this. I have to assume he either lost a bet or was hard up for cash, cause damn. The protagonist is extremely unlikeable, there are innumerable plot holes and the author apparently does not know the definition of serial killer. Save your time and money and skip this steaming pile.

Pronunciation is important
Revisado: 04-28-24
The story was okay but it is so important that proper names are pronounced correctly. Every time the narrator mispronounced Sebec or Piscataquis, it completely interrupted the flow of the story for me. I don't blame him but the director needs to up his game.

Maine towns names
Revisado: 12-14-23
I don't blame Ed but the producer really should check pronunciation. It's "Bang-or" not Banger. It's "Uh-gusta" not "Aw-gusta". And, for the love of God, it's Presque "aisle" not "eels". Oh, and "lou-beck" not Lubbock. As a Mainer these mispronunciations really piss me off. Story's good but sooooo long.

Just love Holly. let's see her again, Uncle Stevie! I would have given five stars but I have gotten used to her voice from Will Patton. Nothing against Justine Lupe but Will gives her a very distinct personality that Justine didn't. Keep Finders Keepers open!

big mistake
Revisado: 06-16-23
The only reason I listened to the whole thing was to write a review. I know James Patterson is a hack but I was sucked in by Zachary Quinto. What is he doing in this -did he lose a bet? An embarrassment. Bad story, acting, writing, music. Avoid this pile of weasel vomit. Good thing it was free.

Historia
Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

Not a fan
Revisado: 12-07-22
Many consider this King's best but not I. I know the gore is intensional so I get it. But definitely not a fan of the pre-teen sex. Also, sorry Steven Weber, but your read was over the top and distracting. My biggest pet peeve is pronunciation. If you're reading a book by the most famous New England author, please learn how to pronounce Orono and it's the Sumner Tunnel, damn it.
