This is a cozy listen for those who enjoy fantasy. I’m looking forward to listening to the rest of the books in the series. The narrator is wonderful and really brought the characters to life! Overall I’m thrilled with the book and headed to get the next one now!

I’m always at a loss when a volume ends...

I can’t wait to hear/read more. This story caught me completely off guard when I listened to the first one and this one is a fantastic continuation of the first. It made me laugh out loud on multiple occasions (often accompanied by odd looks from strangers). It’s hard not to get invest in these characters, you cheer for them and cry for them and want the best for them, it’s odd really. These books are worth every penny, I seriously can’t wait for the next installment. It’s a story I wish could go on and on, though I know every great story must come to an end. I’m looking forward to the next volume and hoping there will me more than three!

The book for lovers of books and words

If you love books, words, and uniquely crafted phrases...this is the book for you. I honestly don’t feel I have the words to do this book justice in a review but I have to try. It is an experience unlike any other. I was spellbound in the first few minutes of listening to this literary masterpiece. It is the perfect melding of author and narrator who bring to life a world of wonder and intrigue. It is a story for those lost, it is a story for those used, it is a story for all who seek escape and who understand the value of a door. You will not regret your investment in the book. I know I won’t, it is a story I will return to again and again and an author whose stories I will wait for eagerly.

I’ve only recently found this series but I love it!!! This is a well crafted story brought to life by a talented narrator. Once you listen to one you’ll want to listen to them all!

I expect nothing less than an epic journey whenever I pick up or listen to a story by master story teller Brandon Sanderson and this book as all others of his, in my opinion, does not disappoint. My only complaint is that I have to wait for the next installment. Trust me, use the credit, buy the book it is worth it! An excellent combination of author and narrator this book is an exciting first installment of an epic that takes us out among the stars. This is a story for all ages and with a strong female lead will be an inspiration to young girls to follow their dreams and listen to the voice inside themselves; to believe in yourself when no one else does.

Powerful story

This is a powerful story with multiple messages. Coming of age, being a woman in a mans world, doing as society dictates and the price of winning. It questions the worth of our actions and the power of knowledge. This book is at times hard to listen to and yet you’ll find you are unable to stop listening. It pulls you in so quickly that you fall in love with its characters only to be heartbroken in the end. Regardless of that knowledge I know I will be listening to this book again. Amazing author and narrator combination, I hope to listen to more from these two soon!

I am a life long fan and am going to look for more books from this author. This is a story that will hook you from the very beginning and not let you go. It’s everything a super hero story should be.

Amazing but...

If you are staunch in your religion, political views or sexual orientation this book is not for you (though you need to listen to it more than the rest of the populace.) The book touched on each of these subjects directly but not offensively. It has been a while since I've found a book that I simply couldn't stop listening to and I want more. I sincerely hope with the way this was left that there will be more books to come. The author and narrator are a perfect combination, drawing you in and holding you with a story and characters you can't help but love. I don't think I've been this vested in characters since the Harry Potter series. Simply wonderful.

Excellent Book!!!

This is an amazing mix of comic book action, aliens and drama. A witty story underlined by right, wrong and sacrifice. I can't wait for the next book! This book falls into many genres but it's story and narration lift it above the commonality of the rest. This is book is a must for any avid enthusiast.

Amazing, like a blast from the past!

If you enjoy theater and you enjoy listening to radio shows you will love this production! It's a fantastic story that will keep you guessing and surprise you all the way to the end. I am usually not a fan of multiple narrators but this production is completely different from a simple narration of a good story. This was created in the old world radio show style with music scores and drama. What a fantastic way to kick off the Halloween season! Thank you audible for the freebie, but I will gladly invest in another story similarly produced! Please tell me this group is willing to do more productions like this! To those of you who have to invest to own this, I promise you won't regret the money or credit, it is well worth it!
