Historia
An intriguing case for Detective-Inspector Napoleon Bonaparte begins on a calm October day in an Australian seaside town. Three men set out to sea for a day's fishing ... and do not return. Despite intensive searches, no trace of the men or their boat is found until, weeks later, a passing trawler hauls in a gruesome catch - the head of one of the missing fishermen. It is quite clear that its owner was murdered with a pistol bullet. But by whom, and why, is for Bony to find out.

OMG - best in the series … Bony Unleashed!!!
Revisado: 10-16-24
OK, this is definitely a bit of departure from his previous books … but indeed one of the best books in the Bonaparte series so far!LOVED, LOVED, LOVED how Bony’s prim and proper British decorum was overruled by his native heritage - and he kicked ass on the cunning crooks! As usual, captivating story telling, intriguing human relations and I learned a thing or two about deep sea fishing🤓 Excellent narration, of course. Left me wanting more. How is this not a TV series???!!!

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Wonderful story and wonderfully narrated!
Revisado: 10-03-22
I had doubts whether my husband would enjoy this book at all but to my amazement we both were eager to listen all the way till the end! So skillfully written with delicate details about the world of the marsh that I’m now interested to learn more about it. The plots are well developed with enough surprise to keep you engaged. The narration is so well done and the subtle intonations make this such a pleasant and soothing book to listen to. Can’t wait to watch the movie!!!

Fantastically entertaining and very well narrated!!!
Revisado: 06-30-22
From beginning to end, my husband and I were both captivated!!! Fun listening and kept our attention throughout the entire book! Not a predicable murder mystery and very complex store lines and archs, expertly woven plots and detailed without being boring. Bravo Liane Moriarty … my first of her books and not my last! And the narrator did an amazing job bringing personality to the different characters - well done Caroline Lee! Definitely would recommend without hesitation!
