The AI narration is abysmal. It mispronounces very basic words. There is a character that goes by Ky and it says K-Y every single time. There is no inflection, Things run together. I may have enjoyed the story more with actual narrators. Don’t waste your credits on this.

I actually read this 2 years ago with a slightly different title. It looks like it has been rereleased with a special short story with another side couple. While the main book can be read as a standalone and you can jump right in without any previous knowledge of this series the short seems to require some previous knowledge of the series I’ve only read book 1 and this one and I was totally out of the loop for the short at the end.

All that being said if you are in the mood for a OTP possessive, insta love, he falls first guy who has a solid grip on crazy, you will have fun with this. It even gets a little tongue in check with the outright reference to Beauty and the Beast. Like with all Sam Mariano books I’ve ever read check your triggers. These are not a joke and shouldn’t be overlooked for your best reading experience.

There times I wanted to have a come to Jesus talk with the FMC. I think that’s also part of the charm. I would also love to get the backstory of the MMC’s parents. Their dynamic is wild and I just know that story would be fire. I should probably double check to see if it is already a book before I continue to make public pleas for it.

I want to be Gigi

I think this might be the best book Elle Kennedy has ever written. I’m obsessed with Garrett and Hannah as Parents. I’m in love with Gigi and Rider. I will forever be grateful that there is no miscommunication, no third act break up well not romantically. These characters are flawed but confident and lovable. There is enough nostalgia from the original 2 series but you can still start here and not be lost. It’s absolutely my book of 2024. I’ve read it 5 times already and I still swoon, smile and cry every single time. The narration is also really wonderful!

Let me start by saying the narration is top tier!

Xavier is the gold retriever book boyfriend all of us tough on the exterior girls deserve. They are a very cute couple. They are 2 very driven people with some trauma and loneliness. I sometimes with there was a little more chemistry but what is there works well. Overall, a really fun listen that will leave you with a smile.

This one also ends on a cliffy. I am still unsure where the story is going but I am excited for it to get there.

Super taboo adopted uncle/ niece romance. Lots of spice, k!nks for days and plenty of blood.

I really fun edge of your toes RH bully listen. I’m truly not sure where it will go from here. The story feels very finished but I believe it is a duet.

I did learn I’m not into kitten play…

Hits the bully romance sweet spot

An addictive listen. This is just a fun read. The bullying is right, the angst is appropriate and the ending was satisfying. There are moments where being in the main character’s head really shows her age but that also feels true to the story. I need to immediately hear more from the series!

The narration is perfect!
