Historia
Everyone has secrets, and Rachel Holloway is no exception. She’s worked hard to keep the past where it belongs: dead and buried. And so far, she’s been very successful. But now the small newspaper where she works wants to produce a podcast on a cold case: the disappearance 12 years ago of young Molly Forster. Some secrets should never see the light of day, and, as far as Rachel is concerned, whatever happened to little Molly is one of them.

Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

Once you can accept the strange way the narrator voices certain characters and his .... unique personal pronunciations of certain things, you remember that this is a story you love and despite everything is, a sit always has been and always will be, wonderful and well worth reliving.

Historia
Dr Jekyll, a charming doctor explores the possibility of dividing the dark and light side of her personality, but in doing this she creates a monster, Eleanor Hyde. For many years she manages to live under the radar, keeping her dark secret unknown to those around her. However, gradually her evil side gains strength until Dr Jekyll is overwhelmed by Eleanor Hyde, to disastrous consequences. An exploration of human duality and forces of good and evil, this modern retelling is compelling and eerie and retains the disturbing nature of the original text.

5 Star Worthy
Revisado: 08-27-20
The narration & effects are fantastically done. I loved the voice cast. The only negative I feel is (and I may have missed it) the time period was not made clear. While it says clearly a contemporary retelling, I was honestly under the impression it had taken place in a less technologically advance world UNTIL suddenly someone says 'they will text' someone. Then when the -no spoilers- revelation is made there are suddenly modern references I didnt expect and seemed a little. . out of place. Still interesting, still good, but definitely a little odd.

Oh. OH.... Ohhhhhhh...
Revisado: 08-24-20
For a free title, I can confidently say it was a solid listen. Sometimes there was a bit of .... immature wording. "He said, I said, he says, I say" all jumbled together; that aside it was gripping. You yell at Margo several times for her dishonesty however the last minute of the book ties a lot of the yikes together.

Revisado: 08-20-20
Surprised me at how enthralled I was by Unheard. I picked it up as a Free Audible Book/Series & have been sitting on it for months! (I have been busy with Michael J Sulivan which for fantasy lovers is a must must must 17 & counting books/works all in one Original brilliant setting.... end random plug) I was not disappointed and will be looking into more like this series; between the various narrating voices and the long rabbit hole of events it pulled me through, start to end, over the course of my work day.
Highly Recommended.

Fantastic
Revisado: 01-02-20
This was a brilliant listen. Not only is it a strong story with FANTASTIC characters and great, twisting plots, but the narration is SPOT ON. It is hit & miss for a good reader doing both genders but I would listen to Reynolds read Leap Frog books to me. His inflection is brilliant. I won't review the book contents or individual characters because spoilers suck but if you want a good fantasy with plenty of twists & turns and can handle it not having glorified & gritty detailed sex scenes, this is for you. While there be death and some description of it, I can safely play this in the vehicle while I have my 5 year old daughter with me.
I first found 2 free audible reads (The Jester & Professional Integrity) by Sullivan, narrated by Reynolds with these two in them & quickly fell in love with them. From the way Sullivan wrote them to the voice Reynolds gave them. I usually bounce around free books, or Audible Escape titles because I am cheap and hoard my monthly tokens. I'm glad because I knew right away I wanted to hear more, hear ALL of the tales of these 2.
Update 8/24
REREADABLE: This is my SECOND time listening through the series. I finished these then the Age of Empire series & then revisited this again! It is a story I will always remember and a world he has created that I love sharing with my daughter.

Historia
Emma, half human and half Syrena, and her Syrena love, Galen, need time together - alone. Away from the kingdoms of Poseidon and Triton. Emma's grandfather, the Poseidon king, suggests the two visit a small town called Neptune. Neptune is home to both Syrena and Half-Breeds alike. But Emma and Galen didn't sign up to be peacemakers between the ocean and the land-dwelling, freshwater Syrena. They didn't bargain for meeting a charming Half-Breed named Reed, who can barely disguise his feelings for Emma.

Definitely a lot more story to go on. Poseidon was good but Triton brought a different air of drama that, without dropping spoilers, I will simply say made it a great read! Also i love how Banks rounded up the story arc and left room for something different in book 3!

Way to start the series with the fun awkward girl and then spin us directly into tragedy. I understand the basic will of the pull and appreciate Galens character but there could have been more....... build up, I guess haha not just bam new BF. But it was a good read. Very likeable characters.
