I was determined to return the book but then it ended. So, my loss. It began all so promising on the heels of the first book. But the writer felt it necessary to warp in his own slant on Jan. 6 and election discord and his deeper personal struggle with the Church. I did not buy the book to read about the author's slam on some facts without the benefit of all the evidence. I'm done with Taylor.

Megan Basham delivers a piece of work that is academic in its assessment of current conditions attacking the church. She is spiritually competent in her delivery. This is a page turner of source information.

Poor exegetical work with brash proclamations. What a waste of time. Note that the reader is a computer that likely adds to the quality of the work, which isn't much.

This was my first Craig Johnson book. I just expected more than I got. After a couple of hours in trying to get into the story I just quit for lack of interest. It was ok, but its just not enough story of significant detail for me.

Some very good advice amidst the tragedy of broken lives. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Her bias and presuppositions with her failure to see the obvious pitfalls in her client's behaviors are glaring mistakes in her practice. She comes across as genuine but also acute to expressing her bias in the tragic situations that have come to her for counsel.

A night club stripper working her way through grad school is encouraged to dispel the yoke of her fundamental Christian upbringing, as though it was a negative experience. There is no discussion on the dangers and physical temptations to such a job before barely bridled men. There is not discussion on the value that the stripper is subjecting herself to and the promotion of another man's misogyny. No, there is no address of these faults. But the sweeping judgement of parents who loved the stripper and brought her up in the way of the Lord is clearly pointed out as the evil. How narrow minded and ignorant.

I would say that this is an average book on the subject of the Song of Solomon. You will learn some important truths here from the scripture. But is this author ever dry at times. The narration is very dry.

As a pastor I am convinced after reading Harrison's book of his sound arguments regarding the failed state of the Church today to adequately proclaim a valid and opposing argument in the face of the roar of the Sexual Revolution begun in 1960s. He lays out the methods and means by which the Sexual Revolution begun and continues to this day. Harrison rightly points to a Church with no better story to tell than its failed attempts 50 years ago in the face of the free sex advocates, empty protagonists of the impotent, dangerous and destructive sexual movements. Advocates that have left our nations cast aside from the promise of God's blessings. Harrison does not stop there amidst the disgust or our failures. He points in great detail to the picture or story already laid out for the Church in the Scripture that we are to tell. I am convinced that I will tell a better story.

This book is slower than slow. The story might be interesting if it moved any faster.

Where does Starman Jones rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is not Heinlein's finest, but its a good one. Well at least he's not talking about the weird sexual practices of his made up society. Or should I say, at least Heinlein has not made up a society to talk about deviant sexual practices.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the adventure and detail of this rags to riches story. It is a sort of cinder-fella story.

What about Paul Michael Garcia’s performance did you like?

The performance was good and really smooth. The only complaint is that Ellie sounded like Mr. Chips, Chipsy.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No, nope, no. But I liked it when Max ascended while others knew of his past.

Any additional comments?

I think Heinlein ended the book too soon. He could add an epilogue of meaningful content and add that feel good aspect to the work.
