Thank you for preparing this wonderful material. We cannot move forward if we don’t know where we have been. This information has helped me connect the dots in so many ways

Overall the story was good and had a nice happy ending, but what I liked most was how a lot of the culture was demonstrated and narrated. If readers choose to listen, they will find out how much we all have in common in love d a family drama. It was very sweet

I like the fact that the book was very conversational. Although there were times, and I am dating myself here, that I may have blushed at a few comments; the books was spot on in that I can relate to being the only "POC" and a representation for all. Or how words like " articulate, smart, angry" are used to hurt and demean.

I will admit I didn't know who Phoebe Robinson was in selecting this book, but I do know now and I am a huge fan.

Keep up the great work!

What did you love best about Why I Love Singlehood?

The book had humor, it was smart and kept me interested. I would read/listen to another by this author if she had one.

What other book might you compare Why I Love Singlehood to and why?

The humor of the book reminds me of the characters in a Mary Kay Andrews novel. The women were smart, sharp and independent, but had a soft side.

Which scene was your favorite?

The twist of the scene on the campus with the fire. It was totally unexpected- great tie in

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Unfortunately I don't have the time to listen a book in one sitting, but if I could, this one would have been worth it.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I personally would not recommend.

What could Claire Ashgrove have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

It was the narrator that didn't work for me. The voice was annoying and it literally sounded like she was reading. She didn't engage me in the story at all....it was very painful to listen to and I would not listen to it again. I was very disappointed.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Amber May?

The women that reads the character of Sophie Katz

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The story might have been good, but I couldn't get past the voice of the narrator. I wanted finish it since I had purchased it.

Would you listen to The Power of Your Spirit again? Why?

Yes, I would listen to it again. There are items that I probably missed that I would pick up the second time around.

What about Sonia Choquette’s performance did you like?

Her voice is conversational, very easy to listen and follow
