These words hold so much and let so little. Solid in their hollowness. We reach outwards turning back in on ourselves. An opening to close. Love at its peak and caverns dense with smoke. A life written in memory and poetic prose. We are held in the space between the punctuation filled with absence. Beautiful like the sound of butterfly wings in a storm.

Wonderful, poetic and affirming

The sound of violins sings in my ears and my tastebuds enjoy the sweetness of doughnuts. This is an excellent book that is well written and narrated. I enjoyed the story, the emotional arch of the characters, and have recommended this book to many. Thank you Ryka Aoki for writing this powerful book and for the contribution to LGBTQ+ literature.

A fantastic journey

This is a wonderful interpretation of one of the greatest spiritual texts of all time. It does a wonderful job of explaining the content of the Gita in terms anyone can understand. Each concept and reference often left in Sanskrit is given its English equivalent, so much less is lost in translation.
