Relatable, engaging, exciting, loveable
Revisado: 12-21-21
This was such an awesome viewpoint on the life of our 44th president, Malaysia, Sasha, and especially Michelle. It felt real, totally relatable, even funny! It would have been fun just to listen for the sake of a Cinderella- type story, but it also shared a story of America that pulls all of us into the story. To say I am deeply appreciative to Michelle for relating her story isn't quite as visceral as my feelings reach, but it's a start to how you also might feel. It's real life and also life few of us will even dream of. The journey is so cool, and it's taken with Michelle herself which personally felt so much more real. Thank you, Michelle! Happy reading everyone!

Historia
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, one of the greatest men to walk this earth, begins the story of his life with descriptions of his childhood in Porbandar and Rajkot in Gujarat, his schooldays, his early marriage, the lessons he learnt when he tried stealing, told lies and smoked cigarettes, and his unshakable devotion to his parents. He then tells us of his journeys abroad, first to England and then to south Africa, and narrates in simple, lucid language his transformation from a shy, diffident young man with a chronic fear of public speaking to a fearless lawyer and leader.

Historia
The irascible husband of Victorian Egyptologist Amelia Peabody demonstrates again why he has been nicknamed "Father of Curses." Denied permission to dig at the pyramids of Dahshoor, Emerson is awarded instead the "pyramids" of Mazghunah: countless mounds of rubble in the midst of nowhere. Nothing in this barren spot seems worthy of interest - until an antiquities dealer is murdered in his Cairo shop.

Read too quickly; throws off the mood of the story
Revisado: 06-13-20
The narrator at least attempts to give the characters voices, they just don't seem to have the right spirit so it throws off the mood.
Amelia as a married woman is amazing; as a mother it's almost unbearable to listen to. Emerson is such a great dad however and Ramses is an incredible person! The plot is engaging and I love this series. Barbara Rosenblat seems to capture the characters so much better. I wish I could return this book and get her copy instead. If that is possible, please let me know. I'd be very grateful!

This is such a helpful guidebook. Thank you!
Revisado: 02-15-20
To grasp the power of Vulnerability and remove its negative stigma; to find freedom and curiosity in our shame and conspiracy theories, and really walk in the arena prepared for battle is when we are more alive and making an impact. Brené-author and narrator presents the material in a way that is relatable and makes special considerations for the Audio audience which is really thoughtful. Very grateful for this work if art-because that's what so many of our life skills are.

Krygelski writes a compelling and startling story centered on the mysterious arrival of a man who claims to be the Creator. Clearly not a mortal, Elohim - as the stranger prefers to be known - astounds those he meets with unexplainable miracles and reality-altering answers. All of this is but a prelude to his announcement that he has come to do something...something which will affect every person on Earth...something which will occur in five days.

Too contradictory
Revisado: 04-26-19
God comes to Earth to take back people who he wants to take to heaven. says it's about being a good human and it's all your choice. He gives people who he wants to take a mark and when his life and those in his immediate vicinity lives are threatened he restores life, but when thousands of others of lives whom he gave the mark to get killed, he says that's the test. Among other frustrating contradictions, the story was to me not well written or thought out if it was truly meant to be unbiased.

Historia
Lyra is rushing to the cold, far North, where witch clans and armored bears rule. North, where the Gobblers take the children they steal—including her friend Roger. North, where her fearsome uncle Asriel is trying to build a bridge to a parallel world. Can one small girl make a difference in such great and terrible endeavors? This is Lyra: a savage, a schemer, a liar, and as fierce and true a champion as Roger or Asriel could want. But what Lyra doesn't know is that to help one of them will be to betray the other.
