Historia
This novel biography brings Marcus Aurelius (121-180 CE) to life for a new generation by exploring the emperor’s fascinating psychological journey. Donald J. Robertson examines Marcus’s relationships with key figures in his life, such as his mother, Domitia Lucilla, and the emperor Hadrian, as well as his Stoic tutors. He draws extensively on Marcus’s own Meditations and correspondence, and he examines the emperor’s actions as detailed in the Augustan History and other ancient texts.

Worth listening
Revisado: 01-31-25
One thing I disagree with Ursula mentioned she was called special and felt it was because they had to excuse her being with them (her the references to black). I wasn’t there when it was said but they could have meant rugs to riches the American dream story. When I look at people I don’t see colors or religions…. Yes of course our society has made such. Big deal about it that it permeates my thoughts but like a passing cloud it moves and I see the person. So I believe they may have meant special cause Ursula is special and amazing having achieved her positions by hard work and having not been groomed for it thus breaking out and carving her own yellow brick road (not in money) but in making her dreams her own. Besides this point I agree with usual and the authors in most of the rest and loved the podcast

Life- you have one life don’t waste it. Listening to Eddie Penney’s narration you don’t only get entertained you learn and get inspired… with a list of simple steps you even get a to do plan so you can be your best for yourself for your family, for your nation and yes even for the world. Eddie, I salute you🫡🇺🇸🫶🏼 As you said what you do when no one is watching (but they are) is what defines you… like you suggested, I try to pick up that garbage, as I go on my runs, that someone carelessly dropped.
In few sentences you do the best debriefs “hot wash” never heard that term before but it was very useful. Love that concept and I’m trying to implement it with my kids. Again Thank you for your service on all fronts and for the service of your family🙏. You make me proud to be an American. God bless 🙏🤗❤️🫡 From another new admirer with respect Eyal Levit, MD

Revisado: 06-27-24
I saw the book but thought It was to much in your face… in my life people who boasted too much pushed me away as an overachiever myself competing in national and international championships I loved to watch that overly proud arrogant competitor loose to me… but on one of my trips consoling families of fallen soldiers in Israel I met this Russian speaking family and it was the book beloved by this timid man who was a hero who died in the war in Gaza. “We can’t read in English, please have that book it was his beloved book” O gratefully declined but decided I’ll buy the Audi version and hear it in my flight back. I was happy I did my hat off for this man I’ve learned a lot and he is able to make me a better person. I undrrand what the IDF hero Mattan from Jerusalem found in David & his story. Thank you for a great job making this world a better place. Xoxo

Historia
In this seminal work that has spent more than 30 years in print, Dennis Prager and Joseph Telushkin explain the reasons behind anti-Semitism, the world's preoccupation with the Jews and Israel, and why now more than ever the world needs to confront anti-Jewish sentiment. Prager and Telushkin examine in detail how anti-Semitism is a unique hatred - no other prejudice has been as universal, deep, or permanent - and how the concept of the "chosen people" spawned that hatred.

A must read for everyone
Revisado: 11-11-22
As I write my review I wonder to whom should I Address it. I guess this is one of the rare books that would be important for any human being to read as soon as they are mature. 13 year old 10 year old and older. It should be read in school discussed in the family setting and become a prerequisite for any UN or politician to read before being accepted into office. Like Victor Hugo’s classic Les Miserable this is the proof his premises in the introduction is correct. I hope her book will reach its goal and North Korea and other brain washing political regimes will be eradicated allowing people to live and enjoy life, honor and peace.
