Agatha Christie does it again...& again & again!

Another wonderful story by Agatha Christie with an amazing performance by Hugh Fraser!! What I truly appreciate about Hugh Fraser is his range of voices and accents, especially the female voice which never sounds horribly contrived with painful falsetto. He is just wonderful and he makes it difficult for me to listen to other stories with less talented individuals.

I loved this book even though it wasn't Poirot or Miss Marple. Has all the ingredients of Christie's most popular stories with a little romance added in.

More like church than health information.

If you are super religious and want to learn about fasting, then this is the book for you!! Me, I don't mind references to the Bible, and Jesus indeed did fast but I feel the book crossed too far over from informative to preaching. Maybe it gets better but the first couple of chapters were so preachy that I gave up. In fact, this might be the first audible boom where I seriously want my money back. The narrator was quite good and was not the reason I disliked the book.

Needed a different narrator

Are you sure that this was narrated by a human? It felt/sounded like a computer generated voice! Because of the narration, I really struggled with getting through the book and that's really saying something since I have listened to quite a few audible books. The only reason I made it through was for the information, but I started looking for other sources of the information while listening to this one. I will seriously reconsider any other titles narrated by this narrator. Also, it seemed strange to narrate 4 chapters of recipes instead of providing a download able pdf.

Illuminating

This is a bright light in an area of misinformation and chaos. It is so difficult to now know that so many people, government officials, associations and companies prefer sick, unhappy, addicted individuals to happy, and healthy ones. How sad that the people who were supposed to look out for us, helped put us in our current situation. Even sadder, is how many people don't even realize how bad that situation is.
