I’m not a fan of cliff hangers but this writer only publishes their work as cliff hangers. Aside from that this book feels thrown together and rushed, like when I have to do something I don’t want to at work. It’s predictable and the characters make a lot of decisions that make zero sense accept to come to the very predictable outcome, definitely could have been one book. The actors are good.

While it was jarring to hear a new narrator I quite enjoyed him. I didn’t like the previous book in the series but I really liked this one. It felt like a return to the adventures of the earlier books.

I enjoyed the story but the narrators were a poor match. One was really great the other was very monotone and kind of took me out of the story. Not unpleasant to listen to just a poor match.

Under developed

This story feels like a first draft. Aside from passages being duplicated, the audio quality sounds like it was recorded using a toy microphone and the terrible narration it’s hard to give decent feedback. I feel like there’s a good concept forming but nothing is fully developed. There’s no world building or character development. The narrator reads in a monotone but also has a strange cadence with pauses at odd places that don’t seem to be caused by post production edits.
It’s painful to listen to.

I have nothing good to say about this audiobook. I keep purchasing books that are recommended on Instagram and that’s on me but that doesn’t mean I have to pretend any of this is ok. I can’t even say the narration is good. It’s all just bad.

I was kind of enjoying the story despite all the misogyny but then the constant sexual references to “girls around the age of 17” and the complete dismissal of a child being sexually assaulted really put me off the story and the author. No thanks.

Tries too hard to be funny

It’s like listening to that annoying kid with ADHD in 6th grade. The narrator is good and I think the story could be good but I had a hard time focusing because it’s a constant barrage of movie quotes and one liners that aren’t funny. The attempt at humor feels really forced and probably would’ve have worked better if wasn’t so annoying.

Boring

Why did I buy this? This writer loves to squeeze in a few paragraphs about the FMC battling addiction and then she’s all better and it’s never mentioned again. This story seemed interesting at first but my god it’s boring. I started to really dislike the fmc and her whiny sisters. We get it you have a secret either tell us what it is or shut up about it. I’m not even half way through book one and I doubt I’ll finish.
