Great story!!
Revisado: 08-20-24
I grew up watching the detective and police stories in the 50s such as Peter Gunn, Highway Patrol and Man with a Camera and movies such as The Thin Man and Public Enemy, etc. I loved the storyline and especially that Mr. Dugoni read the story himself and thought that his story was true to that genre.

Historia
As a child, Elizabeth Bennet's years were split into two distinct segments: her normal life with four rambunctious sisters in Hertfordshire, and summers in Derbyshire on the estate of her father's friend Mr. Darcy. Summertime meant peaks to explore, horses to ride, a library full of books, and friends unlike anyone she knew at home. It was an idyllic escape - until the year that everything came crashing down and summers at Pemberley became no more than a fading memory. When Fitzwilliam Darcy walks into the Meryton Assembly half a decade later, Elizabeth doesn't know how to reconcile the two...

Alfred Edersheim (1825-1889) was a biblical scholar who converted from Judaism to Christianity and wrote popular books like The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah, The Temple: Its Ministry and Services, and Bible History Old Testament. In this extensive work, Edersheim examines the Messianic prophecies in the Jewish scripture from the Christian perspective. Through the 12 chapters of the book, he argues that Jesus Christ fulfilled the Messianic hopes of many of the Old Testament prophecies.

Poor narration
Revisado: 06-18-24
To was painful for me to listen to Mr. Erwin’s narration. Did he not consult with anyone with knowledge of how things were pronounced in regard to the Ancient Near East such as “pseudepigrapha”, etc. I have had a great interest in the ANE since I was a student in college and one of my professors had actually worked on archaeological sites with Dr. William F. Albright. I have also followed the Temple Institute for over twenty years and in particular, Rabbi Chaim Richmond so it really bothers me to hear some one mispronouncing words so badly.

Historian and broadcaster Tessa Dunlop tells the story of the women of Bletchley Park through exclusive and unprecedented access to the women themselves. The Bletchley Girls weaves together the lives of 15 women who were all selected to work in Britain's most secret organisation - Bletchley Park. It is their story, told in their voices; Tessa met and talked to 15 veterans, often visiting them several times. Firm friendships were made as their epic journey unfolded on paper.

Fantastic story
Revisado: 06-15-24
I thought that the interviews with the Bletchley Ladies was well done and informative. I had started the Lee Jackson World War II “After Dunkirk” series recently and was pleased to find this story on the Bletchley ladies and the importance of their part in the war effort. I especially enjoyed that this story showed how much it cost them in not being able to say what they were doing.
