Great Way to Learn German!

This program is well thought out, well written, and well performed. I have nothing but good things to say about the course and the Pimsleur learning method. I highly recommend it.

Just one suggestion to the beginning German language student: As a native English speaker, I highly recommend you take some time to learn and understand some basic German grammar before you begin this course. I know Pimsleur doesn’t recommend it, but you’ll find beginning your language study with a little pre-knowledge of German grammar to be very helpful. It will help you to understand such things as the German Der,Die, and Das articles that we don’t have in English and why they change so much depending on their placement in a sentence. This fore knowledge will answer a lot of questions for you in advance and help take some of the frustration out of learning the German language.

Again, I highly recommend this course. As I stated previously, it is very well done. I learned more German and retained more of what I learned using the Pimsleur method than I ever did in all the German courses I took in college. This course is a great way to learn German.

Great Job, Bruce!

Loved it! A great story well written and performed by Bruce Campbell. Very entertaining. This audiobook is some of Mr. Campbell’s best work. Bruce Campbell is one of my favorite actors and this work is one of the reasons why. I highly recommend it.

Sorry Bruce

I normally like listening to Bruce Campbell narrated audiobooks. I enjoy his voice and how he talks. It is truly unique. I’ve listened to almost all his audiobooks and have enjoyed them very much.

But, this book is the exception. Although I enjoyed listening to Mr. Campell’s voice, he read the story much too fast. He doesn’t bother to stop at the end of obvious paragraphs to end the current scene and prepare for the next. The various scenes are jumbled together and it’s as if the narrator has verbal diarrhea. This makes the story very difficult to follow and understand.

The story itself is very amateurish in writing and silly to listen to. This book needed the help of a good editor long before it ever went to press.

Bruce, I like most of your work, both on screen and written. I’m a huge fan of yours and look forward to devouring everything you produce, but not this book. I couldn’t even finish it. It was just too much. For the reasons mentioned above, I can’t recommend this book. Sorry Bruce.

An Eye Opener for Men

I really enjoyed this audiobook. As a male, I found it very interesting, informative, and funny. Every male should read this book or one like it. It is a real eye opener to what it is like to be a woman.

My only suggestion to the publisher of this audiobook is that this book be translated into American English. The author is obviously from England and uses British English with all its slang. This makes the audiobook difficult for an American to understand. Not impossible, but challenging.

Despite this, I highly recommend this book and hope to listen to it again in the future. This is one of those books that you get more out of each time you listen to it. Take the time to listen to it.

The first half of the story is delightful and interesting. The second half is silly with the last two hours of this audiobook being ridiculous. I had to force myself to finish it. I don’t know who the intended audience is, teenage girls or middle aged women, but this book is purely female fantasy. For this reason I will not be continuing with this series.

Wonderful read. Couldn’t put it down. I was reluctant to read it at first , but I’m glad I did. It’s wonderful to read such autobiographies that show celebrities as real down-to-earth people with normal life issues. So often we view celebrities as people whose feet never touch the ground and live fairytale perfect lives. It is refreshing to know we are wrong. I highly recommend this audiobook.
