Historia
The true story (on which the film Jeremiah Johnson was partially based) of John Johnson, who in 1847 found his wife and her unborn child had been killed by Crow braves. Out of this tragedy came one of the most gripping feuds - one man against a whole tribe - in American history.

this is really bad
Revisado: 07-27-24
historically, this has interest, in experiencing a state of mind that, though still existing today, was once much more prevalent. but listening to a couple minutes will give you the picture; listening to this whole book would be like watching an annoying comedian immitating an ignorant mountain man for hours on end.

simple, slow moving, lots of what may seem unnecessary detail. ..but it never bores and adds up to much more than the sum of its parts

Historia
Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, home to only a handful of people, is a harsh and lonely place. So when James Campbell's cousin Heimo Korth asked him to spend a summer building a cabin in the rugged Interior, Campbell hesitated about inviting his 15-year-old daughter, Aidan, to join him. Would she be able to withstand clouds of mosquitoes, the threat of grizzlies, bathing in an ice-cold river, and hours of grueling labor peeling and hauling logs? But once there, Aidan embraced the wild.

Only Got 5 Minutes In…

Maybe worst book ever
Revisado: 04-27-20
Manipulative bullshit that makes you feel sick with trite, silly, moronic yet confident nonsense. Gave 1 star accidentally and then couldn't erase. Only made it for a few minutes, but that was more than enough.
