If you’re looking for reasons to support your victim mentality…
Revisado: 03-21-25
The author was married to someone with Asperger’s and sets herself up as an expert on it. However, she repeatedly says things that are scientifically inaccurate, and I suspect that much of what she is attributing to Asperger’s is just the outcome of someone being a jerk.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not trying to minimize the difficulties of being in a relationship with someone with Asperger’s. But much of the behavior described is far from characteristic of Aspies in general.
People on the spectrum are not devoid of empathy as the author states repeatedly. They are typically much lower in cognitive empathy than in emotional empathy. Two terms that never even make the book. But research has repeated shown that people on the spectrum do experience empathy. Just an example of the author putting forth ideas that are clearly in conflict with published research.

Historia
Richard K. Morgan has received widespread praise for his astounding 25th-century novels featuring Takeshi Kovacs, and has established a growing legion of fans. Mixing classic noir sensibilities with a searing futuristic vision of an age when death is nearly meaningless, Morgan returns to his saga of betrayal, mystery, and revenge, as Takeshi Kovacs, in one fatal moment, joins forces with a mysterious woman who may have the power to shatter Harlan's World forever.

Great performance/A couple of oddities
Revisado: 12-21-22
Overall, the performance was great, but there were two issues that really bothered me.
One, sometimes it sounded as if the recording were being done in an empty room. Strong echo. Hollow sound.
Two, the reader did not pronounce Kovacs correctly. It would have bothered me less if Morgan had not made a point about the prior pronunciation in the first book. But it was like the reader here hadn’t read the first book.
Great story though. Definitely better than the second book.
