My wife and I enjoyed listening to this adventure. The arc of the story is difficult for a good while, but there is adventure on every page. The authors imagery is compelling. A remarkable writer.

The Postman by David Brin - Post apocalyptic but not formulaic. The story unfolds int the time after. After exactly what is not revealed. We know the end of the world as we know it was bad, but that's not the story. The story is about life after. Read this book. Highest recommendation I've given to an audible book.

One of the best books I've read this year. Complex, resourceful, resolute characters with many dimensions. They are brought to life with good pace.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I can't imagine anyone enjoying it.
The book is obviously a bunch of notes for a book effort that were then thrown together as "scenes" for the book. The result is a bunch of unconnected fragments. I was stunned when the book ended. Practically in mid-sentence. I like Dale Brown but rate this as the worst thing he has ever published - by far.
Would you ever listen to anything by Dale Brown and Jim DeFelice again?
Yes, but not because of this book.
