The best science fiction writer didn’t disappoint. A novella that starts where the series after the Expanse first entry ends. Brutally honest. I always enjoy these immensely.

Historia
The only life Tress has known on her island home in an emerald-green ocean has been a simple one, with the simple pleasures of collecting cups brought by sailors from faraway lands and listening to stories told by her friend Charlie. But when his father takes him on a voyage to find a bride and disaster strikes, Tress must stow away on a ship and seek the Sorceress of the deadly Midnight Sea. Amid the spore oceans where pirates abound, can Tress leave her simple life behind and make her own place sailing a sea where a single drop of water can mean instant death?

Sanderson is famously known for his hard magic systems. Definitely, these were present, but some of the magic systems, felt soft. So, what that really means, is that there are very tiny pieces, especially with respect to the rest of the cosmere, that I don’t understand yet. Which is why exactly how he writes. Well done.

Historia
Destroying the portals between worlds was supposed to force the entity out of Rale. Instead, it's trapped him there. This has cut Nolost off from much of his power, buying some time to try to stop him from annihilating the world. Dante and Blays' last hope lies in finding someone or something called the Burdan rah Saylan. Knowing nothing about the Burdan except for their name, they travel far to the east into lands they've never heard of.

What does God want? Sounds like a simple question, but if you give it a bit of thought, it’s really not. For starters, you have to know who’s asking the question. People will ask it for a lot of different reasons. Best-selling author Dr. Michael S. Heiser shows listeners that the answer is pretty simple. That might surprise you. There’s actually a long, remarkable story behind the answer - one that isn’t well known by most people interested in the question.

If you need a series of books to really, really give you insight into what the Bible and how Jesus came to fulfill it, unlike any other perspective out there, I cannot recommend this book, and the series, enough.

Revisado: 02-25-24
Outside of Scarlet overcoming the war, she was at times kind, but was mostly a shrewd brat. Her empathy was a phony mask that she had to put on the cover her greed. This is not what I thought it would be, but I nevertheless regret not listening to this while I lived in Kennesaw Georgia all those years ago. Southern women are so, so hot, and yet ice cold inside their heads.

Historia
This is an academic work describing how the New Testament writers re-purpose Genesis 6:1-5 in their presentation of Jesus as messiah. Though every topic addressed in Reversing Hermon can be found in scholarly academic literature, Reversing Hermon is the first book to gather this information and make it accessible to Bible students everywhere. The book also includes lengthy appendices on the ancient debate on the inspiration of the book of 1 Enoch, New Testament allusions to the book, and academic resources.
