Historia
In 1998, the American Jorgenson family had been on a year-long road trip in Australia. One humid, storming night, the mother - Elsa Jorgenson - vanished in an isolated stretch of Australian everglades. Elsa was never seen again. That night, twelve-year-old Lily Jorgenson was left alone and terrified in the family camper—even her teenage sister Iris is missing. When Iris comes racing back through the rain, she refuses to tell where she’s been. Lily is certain her sister is hiding a dark secret.

I loved the narrator, the storyline, and the ending. The poem at the end touched my heart. This story was beautifully written.

Love the Story-Hate the AI
Revisado: 01-03-24
The plot of this story was great! I thought it was wonderfully written. I did not enjoy the AI narration. I’m guessing the use of AI was a result of the actor’s/writer’s strike. Not impressive. At any rate, the story was quite enjoyable, and should be redone by someone with real emotions. I still suggest listening to it, after all it’s free and less than 5 hours.

Creepy, but I liked it!
Revisado: 02-15-22
As a resident of Houston this took place in very familiar areas, even as close as a block away from where I live in the Galleria! It was creepy, but the story was so real and relatable. The story itself was pretty good. Disillusioned person that thinks he’s doing a great work and that he’s some type of hero. Corruption, death, lies…etc. I mostly liked it because I could get in my car and drive to the areas mentioned in the book. If you’re in, from, or if you know Houston, you’ll be amused.

Love the stories, not the narrator so much.
Revisado: 08-01-21
I absolutely loved these weird and unusual stories, however the narrator’s inability to pronounce the letter “T” in the middle of words drove me nuts. Nevertheless, I have listened to this collection over and over while cringing when she says words like “per-in-ent” instead of pertinent, and “bu-ens” instead of buttons. So if you don’t mind the narrator’s regional pronunciation of certain words, you will love this collection.

Historia
All good things must come to an end, Constant Listener, and not even Stephen King can write a story that goes on forever. The tale of Roland Deschain's relentless quest for the Dark Tower has, the author fears, sorely tried the patience of those who have followed it from its earliest chapters. But attend to it a while longer, if it pleases you, for this volume is the last, and often the last things are best.

WTH STEPHEN KING???
Revisado: 12-13-20
Honestly, I don’t know if I love or hate this ending. No spoilers here. I just can’t believe this is how it ends. It’s more like an M. Knight Shyamalan ending. As far as the cycle goes, I love it. I’m still trying to get over this ending. I’ll probably put this in the love category, but not right now. It’s too fresh and too soon.

Historia
On a brisk autumn day, a 13-year-old boy stands on the shores of the gray Atlantic, near a silent amusement park and a fading ocean resort called the Alhambra. The past has driven Jack Sawyer here: His father is gone, his mother is dying, and the world no longer makes sense. But for Jack everything is about to change. For he has been chosen to make a journey back across America - and into another realm. One of the most influential and heralded works of fantasy ever written, The Talisman is an extraordinary novel of loyalty, awakening, terror, and mystery.

Historia
Located off a desolate stretch of Interstate 50, Desperation, Nevada, has few connections with the rest of the world. It is a place, though, where the seams between worlds are thin. And it is a place where several travelers are abducted by Collie Entragian, the maniacal police officer of Desperation. Entragian uses various ploys for the abductions, from an arrest for drug possession to "rescuing" a family from a nonexistent gunman.
