A huge disappointment
Revisado: 03-22-25
Firstly the Narration was top notch - no issues there. But the story was generic and predictable. As mentioned previously the childishly written relationships between the protagonist and any female he comes across seemed like it was written by an inexperienced horny teenage boy with ridiculous immature sexual fantasies. I could only stand 2.5 hrs of this tripe, I'm glad it was free as I would have wasted a credit otherwise.

Great End to this arc of the Ghost's story
Revisado: 02-07-25
I absolutely loved this installment. So many threads wrapped up and yet a few others started. I hope this is not the end, I want to read of a meeting between Gaunt and a certain Ghost.

Historia
In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes. Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

Historia
Not too long from today, a new, highly contagious virus makes its way across the globe. Most who get sick experience nothing worse than flu, fever, and headaches. But for the unlucky one percent - and nearly five million souls in the United States alone - the disease causes "Lock In": Victims fully awake and aware, but unable to move or respond to stimulus. The disease affects young, old, rich, poor, people of every color and creed. The world changes to meet the challenge.

Surprisingly good
Revisado: 06-08-24
I was pleasantly surprised at how good this story was. Every time I thought it was losing me it would immediately introduce a twist or story progression. Plus Will Wheaton is becoming one of my favorite narrators, he is perfect at himself interested in the story, which pulls me in.

Sad to see the end of this story
Revisado: 04-11-24
Although I am sad that this story has come to a close I must say that this last book was not up to the caliber of the others ( story wise). I felt like there was a lot of 'padding' and filler scenes that took away from the momentum of the overall story. TBH I felt like the 'Epilogue' was more interesting than the middle third of the book. Overall it was a good story and very well performed. Maybe the writers will produce another story in this universe following on from what the Epilogue set out.

Historia
On the day the government decrees that women are no longer allowed more than 100 words daily, Dr. Jean McClellan is in denial. This can't happen here. Not in America. Not to her. This is just the beginning. Soon women are not permitted to hold jobs. Girls are no longer taught to read or write. Females no longer have a voice. Before, the average person spoke 16,000 words a day, but now women only have 100 to make themselves heard. But this is not the end. For herself, her daughter, and every woman silenced, Jean will reclaim her voice.

interesting concept but padded out way to long
Revisado: 03-23-22
I had to keep skipping as the story became boring after chapter 20. Cool concept but padded out with too much exposition.

Padded out story
Revisado: 05-04-21
I liked the first two in the series, avoided the one on the moon because of the bad reviews and wish I hadn't bothered with this one. I felt like it was a two hour story filled out with repetition and rehashing. This book didn't move this series forward at all. I won't be following this series any longer.

Could have been so much better
Revisado: 11-13-16
What would have made Man of Two Worlds better?
If it had been slightly tighter, faster paced. With warmer more accessible characters.
Would you ever listen to anything by Frank Herbert and Brian Herbert again?
Yes I love Frank Herbert
Did Scott Brick do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Mr. Brick is the voice of Herbert for me
