With her remarkable insight into the human condition and silences that contain multitudes, Elizabeth Strout returns to the town of Crosby, Maine, and to her beloved cast of characters—Lucy Barton, Olive Kitteridge, Bob Burgess, and more—as they deal with a shocking crime in their midst, fall in love and yet choose to be apart, and grapple with the question, as Lucy Barton puts it, “What does anyone’s life mean?”

Good story with good attention to details of the period
Revisado: 03-05-25
AI voice gives an almost board tone. It needs to sound like a conversation instead of a paper being read in class.

Gun views
Revisado: 12-14-24
Author needs to educate herself about the proper respect for guns. Have enjoyed her other books but these political uneducated fear mongering has no place in the story. Had to give up at Chapter 13. Heard enough!

I stopped at Chapter 7- could not listen one more minute to that narrator using the same voice in a roller coaster style. I could not tell you if the story was going to be good or otherwise. 1st bad review soley due to the narrator.

Revisado: 05-30-24
I am 68, growing up watching my brothers friends go to Vietnam, saw all the protest- but young teenager here was only concerned with self. Thank you for showing me what I did not know and making it real. By using the correct name helped me place the events. This book should be required reading!!
