Historia
For some reason, when it comes to complex issues, we’ve largely limited ourselves to just two options, resulting in a society of non-thinkers. After all, once you’ve picked a side, all the thinking has already been done for you. As an independent, libertarian voter who has spent the last ten years at Fox News, Kat has faced this issue too many times to count. She’s learned that surprising things can happen when you refuse to choose a team, especially when you work at a place some people call an existential threat to America.

Her honesty and willingness to use self experience to illustrate her message.
Revisado: 10-19-24
Kat Timpf's "I Used to Like You But…" is a refreshingly candid exploration of human relationships and personal growth. Timpf's willingness to bare her soul—warts and all—creates a captivating narrative that pulls readers in from the very first page. Her storytelling is both engaging and relatable, making it nearly impossible to put the book down until the last word is read.
What stands out in Timpf's writing is her fearless openness about her feelings and experiences. She supports her insights with a blend of humor, facts, and personal anecdotes, which adds depth to her reflections on friendships, love, and the complexities of modern life. This combination makes her journey not only enjoyable but also thought-provoking, inviting readers to reflect on their own relationships and experiences.
Timpf's ability to articulate her thoughts and feelings with such honesty is a breath of fresh air in a world where many tend to shield themselves behind facades. Her narrative encourages vulnerability and authenticity, fostering a connection with readers who may find themselves resonating with her struggles and triumphs.
Overall, "I Used to Like You But…" is a brilliant testament to the importance of being true to oneself and embracing the messy, beautiful aspects of life and relationships. Timpf's voice is not only endearing but also empowering, making this book a worthwhile read for anyone seeking genuine insight into the human experience.

Historia
From politics to the personal, from fashion to food, from the campus to the locker room, the desire to be cool has infected all aspects of our lives. At its most harmless, it is annoying. At its worst, it is deadly, on a massive scale. The Cool are the termites of life, infiltrating every nook and cranny and destroying it from within. The Cool report the news, write the scripts, teach our children, run our government - and each day they pass judgment on those who don’t worship their coolness.

I wish the author had read it. The person reading it was good but the author would have added nuance.

Another great chapter in the DI Kelly Porter serie

Loved listening to another story featuring DI Kelly Porter.
The narrator was good, clear spoken and easy to understand. I also enjoy that all of the stories were narrated by the same person making it easy to imagine the characters while listening to the story.

Like, but not as much as others
Revisado: 01-25-21
I did like this read I enjoy reading her K9 cop series but this was not my favorite of the ones I've read so far. it might be just me but seems to be a bit repetitive in parts. Especially for those who have read the ones before this. I know certain things bear repeating for the book to be a stand-alone so those who have not read the ones before can understand but seems to do so redundantly!
