This is a great story especially if you love space and astronauts but have no idea what they really go through. I’m sure smart real scientists have issues with some of the scenarios. But for someone like me who knows barely anything about NASA and space travel it is entertaining just like the movie was.

Another great book but …

I took off one star because of the length of the book. I can’t afford to buy so many audiobooks and it’s frustrating when I am pretty sure instead of four books this series could be two. But I guess more money can be made by selling four

This book had potential to be a 4-5 star. No spoilers but it wasn’t. It kept my attention and was a good quality audiobook. But when I finished I was not happy. Maybe it just wasn’t for me

Ray Porter as always is a great narrator. I’m glad I read the reviews. I knew what to expect. So I really wasn’t expecting much. If I was expecting a War of the Worlds situation I would have been annoyed. The audio book held my attention. The characters were annoying at times but I guess I’m used to annoying people. It’s not the worst book but I’m hesitant to buy the next one. I can see how someone would stop reading this book. It reminded me of different family dynamics and that held my attention to the end.

Eye opening account of September 11.

As a New Yorker and former office worker who lost people in the attacks I will always be interested in learning the facts of the day. What the book taught me was the bravery of many of the civilians who were in the worst possible situation yet tried to help their fellow workers. That part of the story I was never aware of. The chaos that was going on below with many communication issues added to the loss of life. No one except terrorists fault but it’s so sad to realize that this incident could have had many more survivors. The buildings themselves were not built in a way which would help the people stranded above to get rescued or able to get out. My friend I believe was killed instantly. In a way I’m grateful. But the people who did everything they were told was the right thing to do during a fire had perished. God bless those people who saved their fellow tenants and while being paid minimum wage sacrificed their lives. So many Firemen and police were unecessarilily killed. The Police and Firefighters were courageous and tried to save people. The whole situation was horrendous. All I can say is any thing happens were I am I am escaping. Fire me if you must but I am leaving ASAP.
