Historia
In a career that spanned decades, John Denver earned international acclaim as a singer, songwriter, actor, and environmental activist. Songs like "Take Me Home, Country Roads", "Rocky Mountain High", and "Annie's Song" have entered the canon of universal anthems, but at his start John Denver was a young man with little more than a fine voice, a guitar, and a dream. Growing up in a conservative military family, he was not expected to drop out of college and head to Los Angeles, where the music scene was flourishing. Nor was he expected to succeed.

Historia
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

The first half of the book was challenging to listen too. Man is so cruel to man. Worth listening to as it gives perspective to the hope of the second half of the book.

Great voice. Easy to listen to. At first hesitant to buy. Feared it would just be pop psychology. Berne is authentic about her own struggles and growth..normalizes being human the struggles and courage we all have. Will buy more of her Audible books.

Historia
No one likes to eat alone; to approach a table filled with people, only to be told that despite the open chairs there isn't room for you. The rejection stings. It leaves a mark. Yet this is exactly what the church has been saying to far too many people for far too long: "You're not welcome here. Find someplace else to sit." How can we extend unconditional welcome and acceptance in a world increasingly marked by bigotry, fear, and exclusion? Pastor John Pavlovitz invites listeners to join him on the journey to find or build a church that is big enough for everyone.

Navy Seal Way
Revisado: 03-27-19
I enjoyed the story and how Navy Sels train and some concepts apply to dog ownership. However, the author does not always have the healthiest umderstanding of what is acceptable for the skill level of pet owners and pet dogs. As a pet dog trainer, I would say listen to the book and apply the general concepts of relationship with your dog and the responsibility of dog ownership. Please do not use prongs, bark collars, e collars etc as the author suggest. While these may have applications for training dogs the Navy Seal way, the Seals are highly experienced trainers and the everyday pet owner should not be using these tools. If you are struggling with some of the issues the author is suggesting these tools for...barking, resource guarding, please seek the help of a qualified pet dog trainer.
