I show you my experiences selling 100,000 copies of my own children’s books to help you master: - Social Media and Advertising - Increasing Visibility - Book Prices and Profits - And Much More! I left my job in 2018 because I made more money writing and self-publishing children's books (picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels) than working full time for someone else. I wanted to write books from home full time for years but was stuck in a life working for other people. Determined to change my life, I set out on a path to live the one I always imagined for my family. I tell you ...

Concise, to the point, with terrific anecdotes about his book publishing endeavors
Revisado: 07-19-24
For a listen just shy under two hours, it is worth its weight as an 8 hour audio book.
The virtual voice is scary good. I’ve listened to human narrators who caused Super Mario snore bubbles blow through my nostrils.
David’s experience selling books is hybrid: inspiring while educational. He explains how to sell books without making it sound like a dull to-do list. For example, his wins and losses using billboards to better promote his Fox series is carried through a narrative of noticing James Patterson using this method and how he would be a fool not to.
Get this book. I believe it’s a free add to your library if you’re an Audible subscriber. If not, then make this a reason you get an Audible account.

The stories, the narrative...
I’ve had gripes about Jason Schreier during his time with Kotaku, but I have to give the man credit on his work with this book and the last one. The pacing, the details about how companies closed kept me engaged without breaking a sweat of worry over the 9hr mark. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested of all things the game industry.

I listened to this audiobook in four days savoring as much as possible for my early morning runs. It is page turner. The author does a wonderful job making the reader(listener) feel like they are there in the same room as Jesse interacts with “Seal” (who we now know as David Goggins). Worth the listen.

Historia
A mesmerizing, behind-the-scenes business thriller that chronicles how Sega, a small, scrappy gaming company led by an unlikely visionary and a team of rebels, took on the juggernaut Nintendo and revolutionized the video-game industry. In 1990, Nintendo had a virtual monopoly on the video-game industry. Sega, on the other hand, was just a faltering arcade company with big aspirations and even bigger personalities. But all that would change with the arrival of Tom Kalinske, a former Mattel executive who knew nothing about video games and everything about fighting uphill battles.

The bestselling fitness book for men who want to gain 25-35 pounds of lean muscle and lose as much fat or more in just 3-5 hours per week—and without giving up delicious foods or doing grueling workouts. Is Bigger Leaner Stronger a body building book that can help you pack on brain-shrinking amounts of muscle in 30 days flat? No. Is it a fitness nutrition book full of dubious diet and exercise “hacks” and “shortcuts” for melting belly fat faster than a roided hornet? Absolutely not.

This book is a God send!
Revisado: 12-15-15
It was so excellent that I had to purchase a physical hard copy to take extensive notes and have ease of access with specific details. The information on food and supplements is possibly more vital than the workouts themselves. I struggle with my food cravings and tend to overeat often. After this read, it's been an excellent change!

Revisado: 10-14-15
I am not a Creflo Dollar hater. Many people hang him on a noose from a tree with a sign around his neck, "I live up to my last name!" This is so far from the truth! God has empowered him to bring the gospel from a strong teaching standpoint which is what Dr. Dollar allows himself to do. I learned A LOT from this audiobook and found humor in the truth about the current climate of churches. If you desire a closer relationship with God in Jesus Christ, I say tithe for this offer. This is one that will be on repeat for quite sometime.

Historia
Amazon.com started off delivering books through the mail. But its visionary founder, Jeff Bezos, wasn't content with being a bookseller. He wanted Amazon to become the everything store, offering limitless selection and seductive convenience at disruptively low prices. To do so, he developed a corporate culture of relentless ambition and secrecy that's never been cracked. Until now.

Truly an amaze-on experience!
Revisado: 07-18-15
Listening to the rise of Amazon.com and the tenacity of its founder Jeff Bezos, I learned several things:
1. There is no such thing as multitasking. Jeff Bezos always positioned employees to prioritize and focus on one prime objective.
2. Go big or don't go at all. Even if you have to break assignments down into smaller chunks, it should always lead to completing the bigger picture.
3. Remove people out of alignment from your goals. No matter if it seemed impossible, Jeff Bezos demanded results and he usually got them.
4. Value your employees and those around you who do align with your goals. Jeff Bezos was actually bad at this as his attitude was kind of bully-ish to his loyal people. By the time he realized his treatment, it was too late which brings me to my final point...
5. Jeff Bezos was an a-hole. One to learn from but an a-hole nonetheless:-)

The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster will prepare you for the wild ride of entrepreneurship. It will warn you (of forthcoming fears, doubts, and the self-defeating conditioning of your upbringing and past), inoculate you (from the naysayers, dream-stealers, and pains of rejection and failure), and guide you (as you build those under-developed skills of independence, self-motivation, and self-accountability) safely past the landmines that blow up and cause the failure of 66 percent of all new businesses.

A Ride I Will Get on Multiple Times
Revisado: 05-27-15
I own both the audio and written versions of The Compound Effect. It has been my coach coaching me on consequences of choices. From that I strive to develop good habits to replace unproductive ones.
If Compound Effect is the Coach, then Entrepreneur Rollercoaster is the Offense and Defensive Coordinator preparing you to execute the plays on the field. After listening to Darren's message, I feel even more confident and confirmed to pursue a vision God has given me for an online business.
Darren does an excellent job conveying business advice coupled with empathy and human connection to make the listener (and I'm pretty sure readers to) feel like they can really take this ride successfully.
If you're serious about owning a business and leaving a legacy, then this has to be in your repertoire of resources.
