Irritating narration

The mocking, whiny tone used to voice women and children is bad enough. However, I would rather listen to a symphony of nails on chalkboards than hear one more ridiculous rendition of a Midwestern accent. I've lived in Wisconsin for all my life and have never heard a single person talk like that, not here or in any of the surrounding states. The narrator's other accents run for wrong to offensive and just shouldn't be done at all. The book itself was okay but the crappy narration was a real distraction.

The Handoff

I watch these two every night and the podcast is a wonderful supplement to their respective news shows and their little bits of banter in between. I love their friendship, their interactive dynamics, their honesty and common sense, and their ability to address the myriad facets of issues they discuss. It doesn't hurt that I generally agree with most of their opinions and ideas. At the same time, they stimulate my mind, open me up to things I hadn't previously considered and I feel that I have grown and learned from the experience. Plus they're funny as hell and would love to just hang out with them, talking about everything and nothing. I bet it would be a blast!

If you've read/watched "The Walking Dead ", "Z Nation", and "I Am Legend" you've already read this unnecessarily long book. Move on to better things. Life is too short and full of redundancy as it is.

Locke and Key

Too much music and not enough narration or scene description. It felt more like watching tv while blindfolded than listening to an audio drama. Half the time I had no idea what was going on. I've listened to other graphic novels that got it right but this one fell short. it's really too bad because the story itself was amazing!

A dark superhero-like story. Think "Lucifer* meets *The Crow*. There are few books I consider truly 5-star-woethy and this is one of them! Joe Hill is truly his father's son.

OMG! Awesome! If you love Stephen King and, like me, have read everything the man has published and have now found an emptiness in your soul because of it, read Joe Hill. He's King's oldest son and he's equally phenomenal. I have fallen in love with his books and this one is as amazing as the other 2 I have previously read. Do yourself a favor- you won't regret it!
