I want so much to love this story, but I cannot stand two things: 1. the female protagonist is just b*****. I don't think she's adorable, I don't think she's cute. I think she's obnoxious. 2. The female narrator. Honey, lowering your voice to make it a little huskier does not make you sound like a man. it just makes you sound irritating.

It's possible that new narrators reading duet style could improve this book for me, maybe a new interpretation of Casey would help, but there is just nothing that makes me see why Jake would fall in love with her.

Great story but …

I enjoy Ilsa Madden-Mills’s writing but I purchased this book specifically because of the title as my brother-in-law had the same nickname.

Ms. MaddenMills did not let me down - The plot was full-bodied and the characters were complex but …

But the narrators were just so wrong! I enjoy Savannah Peachwood in most everything she reads, but her British accent when she was reading the male part was awful and there just didn’t seem to be any chemistry between the two narrators.

Where's the Timeline?

I wanted so much to love this book - it had likable characters, a decent storyline, and angst to spare. Maybe I missed something in the beginning, but I could not figure out how old these characters were. They met when she was 16 and they had been "together for years." Why was the author so vague? Was there some reason to avoid an actual timeline? I don't know, that just bugged me. The end was much too convenient, very Deus ex machina. also, the female narrator should NOT try to do male voices and vice versa.

I always enjoy Natasha Boyd's books. Her characters are complex and real. Add in Jorjeana Marie's narration and boy, it's a winner! The only change I would make is have duet-style narration.

Audiobook Version is a NO!

The narrator was okay when she was performing the protagonist. on the other hand, her Scots accent was horrendous, occasionally closer to eastern European. she did NOT need to be reading the male parts.

The narration pulled me out of the story, which was good, so I decided to read the book instead of listen to it.
