Historia
Only 30 years ago, rape within marriage was not a crime, Judges saw rape victims as complicit for wearing short skirts; teenage runaways were groomed, pimped and then arrested as ‘common prostitutes’, and harassment, stalking, forced marriage and honour-based violence were not defined or recognised as separate offences in law. Since then there have been important legislative reforms but the law is only as good as those who enforce it. Telling the stories of a series of ground-breaking cases, Harriet Wistrich illustrates how far misogyny is baked into our justice system.

Feminist? No, It's just typical Commie garbage
Revisado: 05-07-24
I was excited to see this title, even though Ms. Wistrich is a UK solicitor. I thought that this was going to be about defending women in a male-made system, but all this is is a textbook on how a certain tribe infiltrates and harms everything they touch in European society. If you want to learn that, then get this long, boring diatribe about dem po' little immigrants, etc. I just couldn't finish this, especially when we had to hear for the 6 millionth time about the "holocost." Narrator is brilliant though.

Historia
Dear America! is the incredible first-hand account about how a young American teenager, Thomas Sgovio (1916-1997), miraculously survived 10 years in Stalin’s brutal concentration labor camps in Northern Siberia. After being released, he was forced to spend an additional 5 years in the timber regions of central Siberia as the Russian government would not allow him to leave the country, or live in any major city. After the death of Stalin, Thomas was finally released. It took him an additional 5 years working as a commercial artist in Moscow before he finally succeeded in extricating ...

One of the best books I've listened to
Revisado: 04-04-24
This book should be required reading for everyone in the US, especially the "woke" - who resemble the Soviet commissars except the woke are quite a bit worse. Mr. Sgovio's ordeal, and millions of others, was 6 million times worse than the big catastrophe we've heard about and continue to hear about every day, even though there is no proof for nearly all their claims. How indeed is it that we were never told about this? Why no movies or constant mentions every single day like the Hoax? Also, the virtual voice was pretty good, better than many narrators I've heard. The only mistake it made was pronouncing "Polish" like furniture polish.

Another whiny white male...
Revisado: 03-29-24
...who apologizes for everything his ancestors are accused of by the criminal tribe who runs everything. But, Mr. Bartlett wouldn't be a teacher if he didn't hold orthodox views that the alien media run by this same tribe would approve of. Not once did he mention that the white males' very own Creators (e.g. White women) were held as chattel slaves until less than a century ago. No, like a typical white male, he is pretty gay and could care less about those who actually created his hot little mess of a body/mind. Really sickening. Oh, and Mr. Bartlett - do you think your ancestors were wrong 109 times (the # of times they kicked out the criminal tribe)?

Lots of navel gazing, "nodding" & "shrugging"
Revisado: 03-27-24
I think Ms. Griffin could use treatment for one or two personality disorders. Really self-centered person. The narrator amplified this with all kinds of fake voices. Naturally, anyone that Griffin didn't like were spoken in "wicked witch" voices. Really annoying.
