Historia
My life as I know it has been altered drastically by the revelation that I’m not human, and neither are the cute guys who have adopted me into their friend group. Now, I’m forced to traverse a reality I know very little about, uncovering earth-shattering secrets along the way. With Devyn in the hospital fighting for his life, Kian and Tristan at each other’s throats, and a sadistic tutor attempting to teach me how to be fae, I have my work cut out for me.

That word or a version of it. Repeated. Every single chapter. Katie May is one of my favorite authors but if I had taken a drink every time that word was used I would have been in an ICU for alcohol poisoning. Even the men say it about 15 times in one chapter.

Couldn’t remember
Revisado: 03-12-25
I’ve had this in my audible library forever and couldn’t remember why I hadn’t listened to it so I restarted it and remembered. I hated the heroine. I had made it halfway or so when I originally got it but started over and the FMC is like a brick to the face after the first chapter. The abduction and her time with the “lizard men” was actually fairly good, I like well done alien romance and the first chapter pulled me in right away, then she’s away from the abductors and becomes a shrew. Meet strange aliens and start demanding to be taken home? Sure, ok, because that’s for sure what everyone would do (not in a million years), meet the higher ups then immediately start judging everything the aliens do and tell them what they’re doing wrong (uh huh…) then balk because they tell you what you have to do to stay there (ok, that’s a fair point tbh but it’s also a weakly contrived plot point so early in the story). Go to a room, ogle available men, call them man meat, judge them strictly on looks and have nothing to say about the fact that the ick level of that whole scene is off the charts but then throw a fit because mates are chosen this way and it isn’t fair to the women (WHAT????) and because their men outnumber women about 10 to 1 and they need children to keep their species from becoming extinct. The argument she gives Z (have no clue how to spell his name) reminds me of a teenager arguing with its parents “ oh I see how it is now” and the heroine assuming things made me want to put my head through a wall. I have no clue how this got so many 5 stars. To be honest how this got so many anything above 2 stars amazes me. If you want alien romance I would suggest Lynne’s Lees X’rcan series or The Aldebarian Alliance series (cannot name the author right at the moment) and just leave this one alone. I don’t like sci-fi books where women show up and just start telling everyone what they’re doing wrong and how they need to fix it, it’s a bit social activist to me and I read to escape this world, not have a fantasy one turned into it. Really wish I could return this one but I’ve had it too danged long to do that

I was once an average college student with dreams of the Olympics. A better future had been within my grasp. I was weeks away from graduating from college, and I had just received my invitation to the National Team. Sure, I was still nursing a broken heart and coming to terms with the betrayal delivered to me at the hands of people I once trusted and loved dearly. However, things were finally looking up. Or so I thought. The news began to report disturbing stories about a new virus. This virus was turning people. The infected became violent and attacking anybody and everybody. My plans for ...

Please stop with AI
Revisado: 08-09-24
This is one of my favorite series. The story is really good, plot, pacing etc is AWESOME but then you hear the AI virtual voice and it sounds like those weird videos from FB. The intonation is wrong, the voices all sound the same, the sentences are just over weirdly AND I don’t even know how but there are so many mispronounced words. The FMC is name Avery and is called Ave… sometimes the AI calls her Avenue. An infant is named Isa but is called Eye-sa, Ay-sa and another variation that slips my brain at the moment. Overall the AI doesn’t do a bad enough job to make me stop listening but I’m not going to lie, there were a few times I wanted to bang my head on a wall

This is one of my favorite series but
Revisado: 12-13-23
I really wish they’d redo the narration (no offense to the narrator). As a Southerner she sounds like Huckleberry Hound and that makes me crazy, Her Acheron voice kept reminding me of someone but it wasn’t until almost the end of the book that it hit me… Numba One from K.I.D.S Next Door. Her Scottish accent came and went so often I was confused at times as to which character was speaking. Like I said, this series is one of my favorites and as such hearing the voices done in such a weird way really detracts from the actual story.

I called myself Feather. But really? I was Useless. So I chose to save Sanctuary, though that meant I lost everything: my majestic sheets, my old name, my fudging body . . . and my sweet, sexy soulmate. When the super-hot and literally horny Rumple sends me back home, not everyone busts out the confetti. You'd think by sacrificing myself, I would have solved a lot of problems. But I only uncovered more, and made some powerful, glitter-hating new enemies. When Protectors start to disappear, I'm stuck wandering through Sanctuary's basement/sex dungeon to find them.

I love these books. I have to say this one made me cry a bit (I’m not a cryer, I hate crying and usually hate books that make me cry) even though I read this series last year and 100% knew what was going to happen. I still love Feather, Mikhail has to be my second favorite MC although Righteous is quickly becoming my third favorite (Rumple will probably always be my absolute favorite) still waiting for Gavriel to pull his head out and see what’s right in front of him. Precious though… if there was ever a toddler I’d want to meet in real life she would be the one! Onto the third book now

Nameless. Forgotten. Lost on Earth for centuries with a disembodied voice as my only friend. Protecting the vulnerable without any help from above. No one to explain the rules. Nada. Zip. Zilch. So when High Angelus Gavriel finds me killing a very bad man, can he really blame me? Before I can explain, he drags me back to the place he swears is my home: Sanctuary.

I love Feather
Revisado: 10-27-23
I read these books last year and absolutely fell in love with Feather and Mikhail (and Rumple… can’t forget Rumple!). When I saw them on Audible I knew I couldn’t resist. The narrators took a bit to get used to but the female narrator kind of nails what you think Feather would sound like although I kind of wish there was more distinction between her and the other female characters voices. The male narrator has a weird cadence to his voice that sometimes made me think of William Shatner imitating Worf from STNG but it honestly wasn’t too bad (as in I immediately got the second book that he also narrated to listen to after completing this one.) All in all it is easily one of my favorites and will be listened to repeatedly.

Historia
Being trapped in a bedroom with a woman is a grand thing. Being trapped in hundreds of bedrooms over two thousand years isn't. And being cursed into a book as a love-slave for eternity can ruin even a Spartan warrior's day. As a love-slave, I know everything about women. How to touch them, how to savor them, and most of all, how to pleasure them. But when I was summoned to fulfill Grace Alexander's sexual fantasies, I found the first woman in history who saw me as a man with a tormented past. She alone bothered to take me out of the bedroom and onto the world. She taught me to love again.

Dexter! Is that you?
Revisado: 10-04-23
I read this book way back when it first came out and absolutely loved it. I still do and the audiobook isn’t horrible, it just needs a better narrator. Julian is supposed to be an Ancient Greek (or Macedonian?) but so help me every single time she did the voice for him all my mind would conjure up was Dexter from Dexters Laboratory which was fine until you get to the intimate scenes… then I could only giggle and cringe. It’s an incredible book so I wish she’d redo it and give it the Justice it deserves.

But though Jaime is determined to face her problem alone, nothing can stop her from wanting him.... As Beta, Dante is responsible for the protection and safety of his entire pack. Great book, Awesome Narrator
Revisado: 09-17-23
I actually liked this book better than the first one. Jaime was an incredibly strong FMC, several times (I hate to admit this) the book made me cry in regards to her plans to deal with her traumatized wolf “just in case”, I actually adored Dante even though I kind of wanted to slap him upside the head for his obstinacy in dealing with Laura. My one peeve is the character Leif. I really wanted him to wind up being a recurring character in other stories (especially when you consider the “clues” that were given and never followed up on). I have only just rediscovered this author and had forgotten how much I love her books and I have to say the narrator is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

I have no clue
Revisado: 07-05-23
I have no clue how this got so many great reviews. I’ve read better shifter books on the pay by the chapter sites (and I hate those). If I had heard “great athlete” one more time I was planning to just scream. I didn’t like the heroine in the first book at all, the shifters were so watered down it was like the author wrote the book and then decided to go back and make them supes and fill them with angst. I cannot believe all these people loved this drivel. I’m really hoping I can get my credit back because this just isn’t for me.

Ugh
Revisado: 06-06-23
I struggled to get even half way through this book. I felt absolutely no chemistry between ANY of the characters, let alone the main characters. The FMC honestly seemed to have no personality and I swear if I hear the words “woman up” at any time in the next few days I’m going to snap. The MMC reminds me of Eeyore every time he speaks. I felt no draw to any of the characters and won’t be continuing the series. Thank GOD I got this free through Kindle Unlimited.
