Historia
When Pentagon bioterror operative Roberto Diaz was sent to investigate a suspected biochemical attack, he found something far worse: a highly mutative organism capable of extinction-level destruction. He contained it and buried it in cold storage deep beneath a little-used military repository. Now, after decades of festering in a forgotten sub-basement, the specimen has found its way out and is on a lethal feeding frenzy. Only Diaz knows how to stop it.

Learn the lovely, loving side to the iconic actress
Enjoyed it very much. The show biz stories great, yes, but the character of the woman, revealed, was the most satisfying.

Historia
The New York Times best-selling, "meticulously researched and absorbingly written" (The Washington Post) story of the trailblazers and the ordinary Americans on the front lines of the epic Apollo 11 moon mission. It’s a story filled with surprises - from the item the astronauts almost forgot to take with them (the American flag), to the extraordinary impact Apollo would have back on Earth, and on the way we live today.

Especially interesting was the frank discussion of the economics and wavering political support related to NASA through the years as well as the impact, years later, of technology we take for granted today, that then, was built from scratch to facilitate the moonshot.

Focus: building stuff and workshop habits / strategy
Revisado: 06-16-19
Grabbed this thinking it would be autobiographical the. Not really that - Was pleased however that to a great extent it is sort of a how-to primer for builders ( of models, costumes and general stuff for the common-man geek who likes to build. ( that’s me and I really liked Adam’s tips, anecdotes and philosophy. I already have ideas for making my workshop better, more productive and more fun!
Adam’s narration was engaging.

Compelling but implausible

I like a good adventure, and this is. I am simply bothered by numerous implausible plot devices and technological feats that are beyond belief. Still, I enjoyed the tall tale.

This book needs to be abridged
Revisado: 04-20-19
Gave up on it - In my opinion ( an average, enthusiastic fan of the great comedian / author) there’s just way too much background on Mel Brooks for the average listener.
Sure all of the back story is vital to shaping the man we know and love- I just didn’t find it all that interesting ( I need a lot of movement in the books I read)

Pleasant tale but not compelling

Author gives very good imagery and character development but, for me - a somewhat impatient, hard to please fan of fast moving stories- this one was a bit slow for me. Enjoyed it, but not passionately.

Historia
From his rapid-fire stand-up comedy riffs to his breakout role in Mork & Mindy and his Academy Award-winning performance in Good Will Hunting, Robin Williams was a singularly innovative and beloved entertainer. He often came across as a man possessed, holding forth on culture and politics while mixing in personal revelations - all with mercurial, tongue-twisting intensity as he inhabited and shed one character after another with lightning speed. But as Dave Itzkoff shows in this revelatory biography, Williams’ comic brilliance masked a deep well of conflicting emotions and self-doubt.

Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.
