This is my favorite series. I love the world Sarah Woodbury has created, and her inventive plot twists.
I have both the ebook and audiobook versions... and love listening to favorite audiobooks when gardening or sewing, or just when I need a break.
Laurel Schroeder is probably my favorite female narrator. I just love her voice, characterizations, and her accents for the various characters.

Spoiler alert... unfortunately, Laurel Schroeder is not the narrator for Book 18. So sad that she is not finishing the series. It doesn't feel the same without her. Enjoy this last episode with Laurel!

Laurel Schroeder is one of my favorite narrators, and her voice is perfect for this story, youthful and expressive as Anne. I hope she continues narrating the others in the series.

Sound quality and editing were excellent. I'm trying to work my way through the rest of the Anne series with Audible, but some of the other narrators' voices are shrewish and irritating by comparison. Megan Follows has a nice voice - and should be perfect as Anne – but the sound quality of the sample is horrible. It sounds like a recording of a recording. So I'm in a pickle, who to choose next.

Love the book, not narrator's rendering of Anne

How could the performance have been better?

To me, the narrator made Anne sound bratty and pretentious. I guess that's why this version is so inexpensive compared to the others.

A worthy successor to Stieg Larsson's Salander trilogy

Not quite as gripping as Larsson's work, and the author did not pick up all the threads left after Hornet's Nest. But a bold continuation of the main characters. I particularly enjoyed learning about Camilla.

Vance does a wonderful job of narrating, which really provides continuity. Just one minor nit ... I do not understand why Berger's name (and Holmberg's) were pronounced like Berria and Holmberry ... No g sound at all. Is that how it's pronounced in Sweden, and the first 3 books and movies had it wrong? I guess it is, checking online pronunciation.

The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up Audiolibro Por Marie Kondo arte de portada

Life-changing!

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 03-15-15

Before I ran across this book, I had set 2 goals related to tidying up. We have lived in our house for 27 years and have collected a lot of stuff that I could never maintain clutter-free. One of my goals was to tidy one room in the basement stacked full of bins and boxes by the end of March, thinking a complete tidy would take about 5 years. After listening to the book, I changed that goal to tidying the entire house in 6 months.
I'm about 1/3 the way through this tidy-up process, targeting ~ 6 months total for completion. She has you tidy by category, not room, keeping only those things which spark joy. I am making true progress, where nothing else "stuck" before.
She has a specific order, clothes, books, papers, miscellany, then mementos including photos last. And she focuses on vertical storage, no piles please. She introduced me to a method of folding clothes, like t-shirts, so they form a small rectangle stored on the thin edge in a drawer. This saved a lot of space, means I can see every shirt and remove the one I want without everything else toppling over. Without the weight of a large stack of shirts on top, they do not wrinkle greatly. And it is easy and motivating to put things back in their proper place.
This is perhaps the most important thing, and one which motivates me to keep going. I love my closet now. It no longer has a jumble of stuff on the floor.
I can't wait to finish and start really enjoying out "new" home.

Life changing - choose rather than drift

You can't do it all. Prioritize ... Not several important things, but the most important thing. Get the clarity that comes with facing into reality and build buffer in so you can execute successfully. Ask what's important now (WIN). Deliver big results not by doing more, but by focusing on the few essential things that really matter. Focus on the signal, not the noise.

Tackle your hardest project or task first in the day. Set yourself up for success by implementing effective routines so you can do more with your time because your brain has already put some things (your effective routine) on auto pilot) so you can focus on your next big task. Celebrate progress. Look for the minimum viable progress (a spin on MVP - minimum viable product) that will get you closer to completing your goal. Recognize when you need to say no. Choose to plan and act proactively so you stay on plan (which means including buffers for contingencies and risks) or you will end up reacting and drifting. Do a few things well, but choose those things very carefully. Choose.
