Historia
Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here. Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster.

I loved it a lot more than I thought I would
Revisado: 03-26-24
I loved every moment of this one. If I had to categorize it I would call it slice of life mixed with fantasy and a dash of humor. A word of warning, this book will not be everyone's cup of tea. There is no world ending evil to be squashed, no constant struggle to stay alive. This book just leaves you with a warm feeling and a smile on your face as you hear the story of how our protagonist starts his farm and partakes in the simple charms of the world and makes slight jabs at cliches. I really enjoyed the humor in this book, I even found myself laughing harder than I expected at times. An all around enjoyable book and I can't wait to read the next.

He quickly discovers that the best place to hide may be in plain sight as he continues his quest for the power to control Fate itself. It is a race against time, however, as the greatest threat of the war so far closes in on Arthur’s loved ones in Dicathen.

Literally can't wait for the next one
Revisado: 10-11-22
I keep on enjoying each entry as the stakes grow larger and characters grow stronger. Travis does a superb job as usual with his narration and I'll miss it as I make my way to the digital chapters as I can't wait for the next audiobook, who knows, I still might get it. Keep up the great work turtleme!

Best one so far in my opinion
Revisado: 06-14-22
Although this is one of the longer books in the series I finished it so fast , it's hard to put down. I enjoy the new characters that are introduced as well as a different perspective that arthur begins to aquire throughout the book. I also really enjoy Travis Baldrees performance, the growl in his voice when a character is angry and every character has a distinct voice so I know who's talking. I also feel like he has gotten better as more books come out so I am excited to hear more from him in the future. Can't wait for the next book in the series to come out?

Historia
When Dr. Louis Creed takes a new job and moves his family to the idyllic, rural town of Ludlow, Maine, this new beginning seems too good to be true. Yet despite Ludlow's tranquility, there's an undercurrent of danger that lingers...like the graveyard in the woods near the Creeds' home, where generations of children have buried their beloved pets.

Definately recommend for avid Stephen King readers
Revisado: 12-30-21
The narrator is top notch, and Lewis's sarcasm in his mind is kind of hillarious. Overall your classic dark king novel with regular twists and unexplained phenomena that makes it all the more disturbing because what is scarier than the unexplained. If you like some of Stephen King's best works you'll have not trouble getting through this one. My only gripe is that the story ends rather abruptly and it left me with a lot of questions that will most likely go unanswered but I still don't regret it

A classic
Revisado: 12-25-20
I'm sure most people have heard this story before in one way or another and as always this book fills my heart with joy around the Christmas season. What I didn't count on was Tim Curry's performance. It brought the whole story to life, the growls of a miserable scrooge at the beginning to a joyful scrooge at the end, all the characters and voices done perfectly. I think I will make this a tradition to listen to this every year!

Worth reading!
Revisado: 08-19-20
I have to admit I was quite cynical at first when I got this book whether it would really help or not. Boy was I wrong, most of the points in this book are used by already charismatic people and this book brings them to your attention. The examples are a nice touch so you know that the author is not just spouting psudo intellectual bs in your face. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has trouble making friends or finds themselves at odds with most people in their life. I know I found a few things I could change in my own life and will be giving it a second read!

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Exceptional book
Revisado: 11-02-18
I'll say what I say to everyone, you gotta read this book! I usually like Stephen king to begin with but most readers know that some of his books aren't always his best. This is not one of them. I listened to this book back in 2013 on audiobook CD from the library. I thought of it one day and although I dont remember much about the book I remembered it was a good read so I bought it on audible. I dont regret it one bit, this book has everything you could want. Unlike many Stephen king novels that start off slow and eventually start to get good this one starts off rather nicely with the whole point of the story starting early and not needing introductions of each of the characters right off the bat. I am a particular history buff so I love hearing the history of the book and cross referencing it with history of the real world and it's mostly accurate as far as most historians can tell as of now. It also involves a love story which I am usually not into but King nails it wonderfully. It also has a blend of action, suspense and investigation and it knows how to put on a happy tone. The end of the book is done well as it doesn't feel rushed and, in my opinion, everything fall in and harmonizes nicely. So in conclusion, if you're on the fence about this book get it, and if you think it may not be for you still get it, it wont disappoint.

Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

Another Steven king classic
Revisado: 06-08-18
Simply an as some book. Like most Steven king books it takes a while to get the ball rolling so that he can develop the plot but once it starts getting good it's awesome, creepy, and you really start to feel an attachment to the characters. This has been the first book in a while to connect with me on an emotional level. Also Steven Weber did an amazing performance, nailing bills stutter, sending shivers down my spine with it's aggressive and creepy tones. Would highly recommend to any Steven king fans, or any bookworm for that matter

In the first book of this brilliant series, Stephen King introduces listeners to one of his most powerful creations: Roland of Gilead, The Last Gunslinger. He is a haunting figure, a loner on a spellbinding journey into good and evil. In his desolate world, which frighteningly mirrors our own, Roland tracks The Man in Black, encounters an enticing woman named Alice, and begins a friendship with the boy from New York named Jake.

Not a bad story but a little to hard to follow at times. Not Stephen kings best work in my opinion but not his worst either. It is good enough however that I will read the second book.
