I never wanted any of this. Sure, I'll take the universe-shattering powers—who wouldn't? But there's always a bloody price. You don't inherit the ability to bend creation to your will and get to ride off into the sunset. Oh no, every power-hungry dickhead in the universe wants a piece of the action, especially the former God of Creation. Not that I asked for the title—or any of the mess that comes with it. But, if I want to achieve my dream of being left the hell alone, it's going to cost me. And that price? Pain… so much pain.

I love the story and characters. I will be buying book 4. But....
Please stop all these romances that don't go anywhere. I've noticed this in Victor and Electric Angel, you start romances that don't go anywhere and they don't really add to the story in a meaningful way, it honestly takes away from it. Just let the characters be or pick a romance to commit to that adds to the story.

Awesome narration. awesome characters, pacing, conflicts. Amazing. Daniel is a great MC, very fun. But....
Spoilers:
So after going through much suffering and clutching through win, Daniel wakes up to a dead girlfriend and being sentenced to hell. I don't care that other books are planned, you messed with our expectations and kicked us in the nuts with your "plot twist ", there is no payoff, just a big middle finger to us. Now I'm mad and I don't know what to do with these feelings!

Good story, tension and characters. But Shawn is constantly being manipulated by his wives and being expected to conform. No he didn't want to marry said girl, he was manipulated into it, next to little communication.

Steve doesn’t care who he was. He knows more than enough to realize it doesn’t matter at all. Now living in what had once been the Creeplands and maintaining a thriving farm there, they are under constant siege from the Creep itself. It's still better than life in Lamals. And that’s just how it is. After taking over the Citadel, removing Lynn from her place of power, stopping the Creep’s advance, and starting to take over part of the Creeplands, he was certainly making a difference for himself, humans, and men everywhere.

Too Much....

I really enjoy this series but this book had a lot that didn't meaningfully add to the story. Far too much world building that doesn't really move the plot foward. The conflicts felt like it was just getting from point A to B or just checking things off a To Do list. And alot of the "truths" just felt like generic fantasy tropes.
But I will still be listening to book 5 because I'm invested at this point.
