Well written and read

The set up and story lines are interesting with enough action to keep me entertained. It has a number of storylines that come together nicely. I found myself feeling the emotions of the main characters. This is a good one!

not well written or read
Revisado: 04-03-25
Each 'book' is a portion of a normal book. this isn't actually 12 books.
Also, as he moves from the perspective of the different characters he changes the time in a non-sensical way. I am not referring to the flashbacks, I mean between the main character and his family. He goes from Day 3 of the main character in Las Vegas to a couple weeks for the family. Then goes back to day three for the main character. It doesn't make any sense.
More importantly the writing and performance are lackluster and unrealistic.
Issues with the main character: he was able to stock up in an outdoors store, however, he never grabs survival gear. just a gun, a knife and some food (essentially). What about water purification, medical kit, a camelback (water reservoir) or other items that any person would grab if they were going on a long trip on foot. It just doesn't make sense.
One other really irritating thing is that the author portrays some characters like a general in the military as whiny. I can tell you from experience military people would not act that way.
The interactions and story-line are not believable.

Boring
Revisado: 01-24-25
No action. It is a mundane life in a different world, just boring. I kept expecting something to happen and nothing ever did.

Historia
For the first time, the full story of a crime that has haunted New England since 1873. The cold-blooded ax murder of two innocent Norwegian women at their island home off the coast of New Hampshire has gripped the region since 1873, beguiling tourists, inspiring artists, and fueling conspiracy theorists. The killer, a handsome Prussian fisherman down on his luck, was quickly captured, convicted in a widely publicized trial, and hanged in an unforgettable gallows spectacle.

The story moves slow
Revisado: 03-30-24
I enjoyed the story, just that it is very slow moving. I ended up getting bored and not getting the next book in the series. Not for those who like action
