It’s been a long time since I felt someone’s pain through a book. I feel like a proud, old friend. Billy, you not only got the last laugh, you had your cake and ate it too! You deserve everything good that comes to you. I’m passing this book onto a gay friend who is suffering; he needs to hear this story.

Thrilled this app is finally allowing me to write a review. I’ve just finished my 12th episode. Listening to Tanner talk is like listening to my own brain. Never have I heard someone fully understand what CPTSD is literally.

I struggle with starting from her newest content and joining the group as is. But I understand my foundation to healing needs to understand the basics.

I will continue to listen, ask her questions, and join in more one-on-one and group therapy when I’m ready. This episode in particular was intense. I had to stop three different times. This lets me know I’m working on the right stuff.

It’s brilliant learning from an educator with first hand experience. Especially, one who doesn’t say you’ll be headed with unrealistic expectations.

I am grateful.

I’m in the middle of searching for my faith. The evidence of proof on death through police statements was what I needed to hear. As a person who constantly asks why and wants to see the evidence, Don’s testimony may have been my tipping point.

Can you think of any other reason a person would beg police to pray for a dead man other than divine intervention? When EMTs continually argue that a man is dead and try to leave but a stranger fights he’s alive, cannot be explained.

As a person who lives with chronic pain and illness but still pushes on every day, it’s a comforting thought it will be gone one day. To dream of a time without pain and pure happiness makes me a little bit less scared of death. A day where I can see my Granny is enough for me to pray and continue my search.

I felt every emotion of this book, especially in the last 20 minutes of epilogue. I don’t want to ruin the surprise but I was so surprised with joy I started crying.

I’m thankful at least a few of them had a peaceful ending.

I can never get enough of this series and watch book goes too quickly. Even though I knew exactly how the book would end after 5 minutes, it was still perfect.

Heartbreakingly Beautiful

When I was a little girl I had a full body poster of Corey Feldman on my bedroom wall. My best friend had Corey Haim. When we played "house" for several years, these were our "husbands". I later moved onto Luke Perry in my later teen years, but I have always loved the two Corey's.

When that same friend messaged me we lost one, we were both incredibly sad and shed several tears. Reading this book at the age of 42 brings me back to those times of joy, watching License to Drive, Lost Boys, Goonies, Dream a Little Dream, and so on. To hear the horrible stories they both went through is incredibly heartbreaking and sadly, some were relatable to me.

Working in television for a couple years was enough for me to learn how people really are and how the business is run. In my eyes, Feldman started the "me too" movement. These things do happen to men, not as often as women yes, but they are just as wrong. Child stars need better looking after.

I wish everyone read this book and gave him another incredible role instead of the ones he is forced to do. I'm not a fan of his music career but I am a fan of him. I hope he can erase some of those demons and live in peace. Relationships and trust are hard to give after you've been hurt so much. I was also happy to hear about the editing on Surreal Life. That was when I turned away from him. I have personally seen what the editing floor can do to you. I believe now, that wasn't who you are.

Also, nice score on Vanessa Marcil. I loved her on General Hospital in the beginning but the writers made me hate her in the end.

My Halloween night movie this year is going to be Lost Boys again and maybe, I'll finally watch that part 2 nonsense.

Better than expected!

It took me a bit to get into this book. I kept going because it’s on every top list. I’m glad I did, the relationship between Grace and Rocky is fantastic. I really hope we get book 2 where he returns home.
