Historia
Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: If he doesn't play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone's business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he's been emailing with, will be compromised.

I don’t really get why this is famous
Revisado: 06-25-19
The book was okay, and the narrator did a good job of it (not trying to hard to sound hip and cool which is always important when reading teen characters imo). But the book is just kind of tame. I get that it’s supposed to be relatble, but the «mystery» in this book, is so flimsy you could blow at it and it would fall apart. The conflict surrounding the whole gay thing doesn’t seem very genuine, and not for a moment does it seem like this is written from a boys perspective. This book feels like it was written by a woman that has absolutely no idea about what it’s like to be gay or a guy for that matter.
But I might particularily picky because I don’t like teen drama novels that much since they are as mentioned, kinda tame.

Historia
Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

Don’t bother with the last five hours
Revisado: 06-25-19
The beginning of the book was absolutely fantastic. My heart was beating in my chest. The mystery and tension made me incapable of putting it away. Then as the book was building up into some kind of resolution it fell completely flat. The characters development arch was uninteresting, cliche and outright boring when the story revolved around the adults. Some of the creepy (and outright disgusting) things that happened seemed to be there not to give some logical solving of the problem, but instead was sprinkled in because the author couldn’t come up with an actual solution to the mysteries.
This whole thing lasts 47 hours and it all feels like a waste of time since I won’t bother to listen to the last few hours. I honestly expected way better by such a famous and recognised author.
I really liked the narrator though and his reading of this was perfect, but it still doesn’t change how bad this book turned out to be.
Also want to add a warning (SPOILER) about the fact that this book contains descriptions of sexual acts with children involved. Think it’s important just to be warned, because it’s a pretty messed up scene in the book.

Historia
The Greek myths are amongst the greatest stories ever told, passed down through millennia and inspiring writers and artists as varied as Shakespeare, Michelangelo, James Joyce and Walt Disney. They are embedded deeply in the traditions, tales and cultural DNA of the West. You'll fall in love with Zeus, marvel at the birth of Athena, wince at Cronus and Gaia's revenge on Ouranos, weep with King Midas and hunt with the beautiful and ferocious Artemis.

Immersive
Revisado: 04-29-19
Stephen Fry is an amazing storyteller! The stories truly come alive, while we are being served interesting facts and connections between names and words. Nothing heavy or drawn out, but you still get the feeling of a whole universe being introduced to you in this book. Funny and entertaining, while still factual and cause for reflection.
