We Get the Point
Revisado: 04-04-24
Yes, the bible is full of dumb things. 150 year old people, fathers killing sons and daughters, and bushes that are talking fire hazards, just to name a few. The book is way too long and repetitive for the topic. At somewhere around 4 or 5 hours, I stopped listening. Just could not bear another 5 hours of the same routine. The author makes his point very early on. I agree with him but do not need to keep hearing the same message over and over.

Historia
An androgynous gender-bending musician from the get-go, Cidny Bullens toured extensively with Sir Elton John and performed with Bob Dylan, undergoing a complete immersion in the drug-fueled excesses of 1970s rock 'n' roll. Despite getting sober, climbing the charts with the Grammy-nominated Survivor, as well as a Grammy nomination for his lead vocals in the soundtrack for the movie Grease, Bullens was unable to break out as a solo star in a world that allowed its artists to cross the gender line, but had much more narrow expectations about how women could behave and perform.

A Heartfelt Memoir by a Fantastic Song Writer
Revisado: 03-10-24
If you grew up in the seventies or anytime listening to rock music, you must read this book. Cidny Bullens is the definition of a great songwriter. I became acquainted with Cid's music late in life. Finding the album "Somewhere Between Heaven and Earth" in 2012. The ten songs in that album are among the most beautiful tributes to a lost child that could ever be written.
This book has something for everyone. It is the best listen/read of over 500 nonfiction titles that I have experienced. After reading it, I understand just how difficult a rock music career can be. Read it, I promise you won't be sorry!

Seems like the author is "showing off" his knowledge of scientific jargon. Many of his explanations were beyond my comprehension in spite of a Masters plus in science education. Would not recommend for the average reader.

Historia
While physics does play a role in our lives, most of it involves things we don’t think about. For example, physics helps to define how our world is put together on a molecular level. Understanding how atoms split, we can understand how they use various waves to transmit information via data and sound. At the same time, it’s interesting to look at how physics can be used to help us understand dimensions, even the ones that might not be easily found or seen.

Worst Book on Audible!
Revisado: 02-21-21
Managed to get about halfway through it and still waiting for anything close to an explanation of quantum mechanics. This is weird since ALMOST ALL reviews are five stars. It is so bad that they could not find a human to narrate it. Can't return this one fast enough!

The lectures were accompanied by visual aids as well as a chalkboard. If you are nostalgic for your 1962 college lectures, then this book will be fine. Otherwise, its not of much use.

Boring!
Revisado: 09-13-20
Author spends the first one and one half hours explaining cup and ball games and the causes of seasons. The explanations are repetitive and boring. The rest of the book may have been wonderful but I could not see wasting any more time on the experience. Still waiting to hear about infinity's beginning. The sample on the sales page is very interesting and serves as the delicious bait promising a good read yet fails to relay the switch to a silly waste of words.

Not what I expected...
Revisado: 01-31-20
Questionable assertions and conclusions on the role of genetics in disease and behaviors and ends with a religious suggestion. The author devotes almost the entire book promising a "new" biology, then ends with short political ad for Jesus.
