Historia
If you're going to call it "home" for eternity, don't you want to know what it's like? Our pictures of heaven range from comical to curious, mystical to fictitious, with bits of biblical truth thrown in. But if heaven is our future, and we are to be living with an eternal mind-set in the present, a Hollywood scriptwriter's interpretation of the afterlife just won't suffice. Quite simply, we need to know more about what lies ahead for the sake of what lies in front of us today.

Fantastic scriptural defense against these false claims of people "visiting heaven." Brothers and sisters, let us search the scriptures for our uderstanding of what heaven is like.

Historia
It's no wonder so many people are discouraged with prayer. Instead of a genuine encounter with God, prayer is little more than a grocery list of requests. Maybe you, too, seek God's hand rather than his face. How do you truly connect with God through prayer? For almost three decades, renewal leader and pastor Daniel Henderson has helped innumerable Christians transform their prayer life. When you experience the profound difference of worship-based prayer, your faith and life will never be the same.

This was a very needed book for me. My prayers ought/need to be much more God centered and Kingdom focused than they are. How great and wonderful our Lord Jesus is!

Historia
What would God say about those who blatantly misrepresent His Holy Spirit; who exchange true worship for chaotic fits of mindless ecstasy; who replace the biblical gospel with vain illusions of health and wealth; who claim to prophesy in His name yet speak errors; and who sell false hope to desperate people for millions of dollars? The Charismatic movement has always been a breeding-ground for scandal, greed, bad doctrine, and all kinds of spiritual chicanery. Best-selling author and pastor John MacArthur chronicles the unsavory history behind the modern Charismatic movement.

Biblically sound defence of the Holy Spirit

This book was really great, thought provoking and convicting. Definitely needed in our time of such blatant blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn famously said that one of the biggest mistakes people make is assuming totalitarianism can't happen in their country. Many American Christians are making that mistake today, sleepwalking through the erosion of our freedoms. Live Not by Lies will wake them and equip them for the long resistance.

Timely and needed
Revisado: 02-16-22
It is so spiritually nourishing to hear of my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who held fast to their faith amidst persecution and suffering in order to combat the evils of communism. Christians in western cultures, America in particular, need to be ready for the comming persecution from the state. It is already here and happening, and it is going to get much worse. We must stand for truth and proclaim the truth in love. When this persecution comes we must be ready to combat it with the gospel and call sinners to repentance and help others sure up their faith. We need to act now, we need to be deep into the Bible and gather together as a church family to sharpen on another. Let us hold fast to Christ and the docrines of Christianity. Thank you for this book. Glory to God in the highest.

White Fragility

Historia
In this “vital, necessary, and beautiful book” (Michael Eric Dyson), antiracist educator Robin DiAngelo deftly illuminates the phenomenon of white fragility and “allows us to understand racism as a practice not restricted to 'bad people'" (Claudia Rankine). Referring to the defensive moves white people make when challenged racially, white fragility is characterized by emotions such as anger, fear, and guilt and by behaviors including argumentation and silence. These behaviors, in turn, function to reinstate white racial equilibrium and prevent meaningful cross-racial dialogue.

Snakes in the grass
Revisado: 02-15-22
The narrator of the book was great. The content of the book is utter garbage straight from the pit of hell itself. There is a problem with humanity, and it isnt racism. It is sin. All humans are sinful wicked beings on the inside and it flows out of people in wicked words and actions. No matter what skin color you are, man or woman, short or tall, you are an evil wicked sinner who needs to have your dead heart be brought to new life by the blood of Jesus Christ. Repent and believe.
Also, there really is no such thing as race. We are all one race. The human race. We are all decendents of 2 people, Adam and Eve. We do have different ethnicities and that is great. And this book essentily denies any fact that people who are not white can be racists. That only white people can be racist, and that in fact all white people are racist and they can never be free from that. Utter nonsence. This book is terrible and promotes a terrible worldview that stems from darwinian evolution and marxist communism. In a word, evil.

Historia
Machen's classic defense of orthodox Christianity established the importance of scriptural doctrine and contrasts the teachings of liberalism and orthodoxy on God and man, the Bible, Christ, salvation, and the church. Though originally published nearly seventy years ago, the book maintains its relevance today. It was named one of the top 100 books of the millennium by World magazine and one of the top 100 books of the century by Christianity Today.

Relevent and convicting
Revisado: 02-10-22
This was a fantastic listen. Very relevent and I would even say necessary content for Christians today. Liberalism is infecting the churches across the US. Today they are called "progressives" but the doctrines and beliefs are neither progressive nor Christian. They are utter heresies. We Christians need to return to using our minds and study deeply on the word of God to combat these heresies and preach the truth in love. The Bible tells us to be transformed by the renewing of the mind, that requires study under the grace and provision of our Lord Jesus! Even in non-liberal churches the emphasis on the mind and teaching deep doctrines has diminished and that is a very dangerous spot to be in.

In a world that is “woke”, how many Christians are actually awake? This short theologically sound primer is a resource for pastors, ministry leaders, community leaders, and other thinking Christians that explains carefully and clearly what critical race theory and wokeness truly are, what the Bible teaches about race and ethnicity, why wokeness is distinct from Christianity and should be rejected, and how the church can work for unity based in the gospel of grace.

Enlightening
Revisado: 02-09-22
Excellent narration and writing of truths of the fallen world we live in. This book accurately brings to light the realities of the Woke movement and CRT as well as the truth of the gospel and the threat posed to Christianity by the Woke movement. I would recommend this book to anyone who professes faith in Jesus Christ and struggles with the current cultural movement pervasive in this world today. There were too many eye opening take aways in this book to choose my favorite but I can safely say that Chapter 3 gave some really wonderful, useful and biblical perspective.
