Excellent history and use of Methylene Blue

Ignore the negative reviews (the reader could be better), as the author is very thorough and detailed how MB works, its medical uses and long SAFE history. I seriously question reviews demonizing MB and the motives behind them. This is a must read.

This updated and expanded edition of Dr. Berry’s best seller Lies My Doctor Told Me exposes the truth behind all kinds of “lies” told by well-meaning but misinformed medical practitioners. Nutritional therapy is often overlooked in medical school, and the information provided to physicians is often outdated. However, the negative consequences on your health remain the same. Advice to avoid healthy fats and stay out of the sun has been proven to be detrimental to longevity and can wreak havoc on your system.

Excellent expose of the medical profession.

15 years in the medical field (retired emergency department supervisor, hospital administrator) and I can count on one hand the number of doctors that knew anything about nutrition or truly cared about their patients. Thank you Dr. Berry for shining a light on the health care industry .

Historia
In the opening volume of his acclaimed American Revolution series, Nathaniel Philbrick turns his keen eye to pre-Revolutionary Boston and the spark that ignited the American Revolution. In the aftermath of the Boston Tea Party and the violence at Lexington and Concord, the conflict escalated and skirmishes gave way to outright war in the Battle of Bunker Hill. It was the bloodiest conflict of the revolutionary war, and the point of no return for the rebellious colonists.

Could not get past the author's anti-patriot bias.

I was looking forward to the history , and many facts were presented, but the author ruined the story by subtly injecting his own ideology.

Could have been 5 stars but...

Where does Countdown rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The book was an excellent listen, with many important facts and statistics about humanity's path to it's overpopulation demise. What got very annoying was the author's continual liberal jabs and opinion. The information presented and possible solutions to the problem was spot on. One of the best books out there on the topic.

Historia
The Superpox-99 virus has wiped out nearly the entire human race. Governments have collapsed. Cities have become graveyards filled with unspeakable horror. People have resorted to scavenging from the dead, or taking from the living. The entire industrialized world has become a wasteland of abandoned cars, decaying bodies, and feral animals. To stay alive, U.S. Deputy Marshal Mason Raines must forage for food, water, and gasoline while outgunning those who seek to take advantage of the apocalyptic anarchy. Together with his giant Irish wolfhound, Bowie, he aligns with survivors of the town of Boone in a life and death struggle against a gang of violent criminals. With each deadly encounter, Mason is force to accept his place as one of the nation's few remaining lawmen. In a world now populated by escaped convicts, paranoid mutants, and government hit squads, his only hope to save the townspeople is to enforce his own brand of frontier justice.

Waste of time
Revisado: 11-28-16
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Better attention to detail. For example, the main character comes across a dog that hasn't had anything to drink for days, then describes the dog's tongue is like a "wet mop". There is a 98% population die off, yet there are mobs in the streets. The female president is made to look pathetically weak and ridiculous in her response to the outbreak. Could not even finish this trapped in a car on a long drive.

Now Coughlin has written a highly personal story about his deadly craft, taking readers deep inside an invisible society that is off-limits to outsiders. This is not a heroic battlefield memoir but the careful study of an exceptional man who must keep his sanity while carrying forward one of the deadliest legacies in the U.S. military today.

First rate story!
Revisado: 02-26-10
I read Gunnery Sergeant Jack Coughlin's story last year in paperback, and could not put it down. A gripping story of the Iraq conflict told through the eyes of an American hero who saved countless lives being the best at his job. You will come away with a different picture than the sanitized version given by the main stream media. Gunnery Sergeant Coughlin comes across as a regular guy with extraordinary skills and commitment to serving his country above and beyond what was expected of him. An awesome story that will leave you looking for more Coughlin books. You will not be disappointed.
