I read this book several years ago and thought it wonderful, as is all of Francine Rivers books. But listening to it touched me in a different way. The narrators were great, but the voice of Mary Catherine being different was what made this so much better listening than reading. I highly recommend this book as well as all of her books!!

I have read many books on the Middle East wars we have been involved in and each one has been heartbreaking. I’m not saying this book is more heartbreaking than the others, but I can’t imagine how the mother of the Wise soldiers endured their loss. I highly recommend this book.

I like Deborah Raney’s books. The only thing that I don’t like is the short ending she gives them. I would loved to have had Jererica’s reaction to having Joel back in their lives. The author needs to give her endings more substance.

Five stars isn’t enough for this book. I want to first thank the author for his service to our country. This was a wonderful book…I listened to it, but bought a hard copy for my husband to read. The narrator, Will, did a wonderful job. His feelings were very apparent in the narrative. Just a wonderful book there are no other words!!
