I could not finish this book. It is a terrible story. It is boring and disgusting. I have read many of Dean Koontz books that were very good. This one doesn't even seem to be his writing. Disappointed

PLEASE GET A NEW NARRATOR

I was excited to share this,Audible with my 9 year old. He likes the Sugar Creek Gang movies.
We turned the audible book off at the beginning of chapter two. The narrator's attempt at "southern drawl" was embarrassing. She made the gang sound ignorant.
I HIGHLY recommend the Sugar Creek Gang books, and movies. Just get a different narrator.
Very disappointed.

I have come to love the characters in this series. Morgan, Thad, Sarge Little Bit, and the family/group. The story keeps you listening to find out what happens. I have become enmeshed in the story. A. America tells the story in way that you feel you are part of Morgan's group, and Duke Fontaine does an excellent job narrating. He gives life to the characters. It's 2:30 a.m. I just finished book 6. I have to order book 7. Where does the story go from here? I can't sleep now. I have to find out..."What next"?

I love the characters. and storyline. A. A. Lakers is my favorite author for the apocalyptic series. Lakers adds some great information that people can actually utilize in a disaster.
I love how the fact that not all of the women are damsels in distress.
I have finished second book, and waiting for the next one! Please hurry, and continue to add information that can be useful. I actually tried some of the suggestions. Good to know information. Recommend A. A. Lakers. Kevin Pierce does a great job narrating.

Motivation to Get Serious

We should be prepared for whatever disaster may come our way. Make a plan of action with your family. Don't wait for something to occur.
This was book is a reminder to us of how quicky our lives can change. The question we should ask ourself is, "Do I have the knowledge and skills to survive a disaster, be it man-made or from nature?"
There is an old saying, "A word to the wise is sufficient".
Overall, the book was good. I like the fact survival tips are added in these types of books. I like to research what they suggest. Toward the end the story seemed to get jumbled. It turned out okay as the author was trying to bring the story to a close.
The story kept my attention, and the narration was good.
The radio broadcast segment on Martial Law was enlightening, to say the least.
