Surprisingly Great!
Revisado: 09-27-24
I thought this would be a kind of campy, silly story but I figured I didn’t have anything to lose. My expectations were pretty low. Immediately, the story grabbed me and I didn’t want to stop listening! It went by way too fast and I’m about to play it again from the beginning! Thanks Mark! And thanks for putting God in there in a clever way that didn’t sound stale or preachy!

Finally! Someone Gets It!
Revisado: 01-08-22
It was 2005. I had a dream where God showed me a server. Within that server was where we all lived. Stupid dream, I thought. Yes, I was a saved Christian. Not just a Christian but a born again Christian who had repented of his sins and accepted Christ into my heart. Because everyone’s default state was Hell because of Adam’s choice. I am a computer scientist. But back then I was in IT with a philosophy degree and a semester of medical school. I’d heard about simulation theory and thought it was cool but just a theory. I didn’t see the truth yet. A server..and we all live inside of it. Crazy stuff, I thought. I like to write. So in the journal I had started writing for my daughter before she was born I told her that by the time she was 16 the LGBT movement would be huge. It would be all people talked about. Then I got imaginative and wrote that a worldwide virus would hit around this time. And people would withdraw more and more into their virtualized and metaversed worlds. It was an identity issue in my story. We stopped identifying as Gods image and created our own identities. And this was exactly what Satan wanted. I wrote that in 2005. My daughter at 16 read the entry. It was now 2019 and coronavirus just hit. Oddly enough my last name is Coronado. I get what God was telling me. You don’t identify as my creations. You will have a crown (corona) but you will not be crowned (coronado) because you wish to crown yourself. So you will wear a face covering. Your face is a shamed. You cannot speak the truth. Your Kirk is covered. What I don’t agree with in this story is that question: Was it a lone creator? No. God is in three parts. The Father handles timing issues. The Son created. The Holy Spirit binds the three. God creates not out of loneliness. He creates because He’s the creator. My wife draws because she’s an an artist. I write because I’m a writer. God wasn’t lonely. Believe me I can spend all day with God and there’s no lonely there at all!

Long before Earth began conquering her neighboring stars, Legion Varus was deployed on Tau Ceti. Valuable and highly illegal treasures were stolen during the campaign, but McGill never gave it a second thought. The Tau haven’t forgotten him, however. For decades, they’ve hunted and plotted, and at last they’ve found the pirate who robbed them. Tau agents invade Earth seeking revenge and profit. Caught up in violence and intrigue, McGill is given the task of finding out where the loot has gone and who was responsible for the theft in the first place.

It’s What I Loved About Comic Books!
Revisado: 12-17-21
Comic books never end. Well, until they do but most last month after month for years. Because they’re more about the characters than just the stories. Same applies here! McGill is a character I never get tired of. What will happen to him next? Oh hell no! There’s no way he can get out of this mess! Wow! He got out! There’s also a story it’s been building up to since the first book, in my opinion: Earth must rebel against the Galactics and being the battle to them. Unless they want to be pawns of theirs forever. Or maybe they do being the fight to the Galactics and end up being one of the Empires rulers such as the Mogwa and Skay are? Either way as long as McGill keeps avoiding a perming I’m game for more!

His code name is Nostradamus, and he’s an ancient alien super-intelligence awakened by pesky humans crawling upon his planet. He decides to use these low-grade morons, testing some, making the special ones his agents and sending them into Star Watch to make the military organization his own. It’s an insidious assault from within, run by a creature with fantastic predictive powers against what he considers an infantile species.

Historia
The Coalition is reeling. New Vega and its other worlds have fallen beneath the boot of the newly allied Savage marines, and the death count continues to rise at a staggering rate. One thing is clear: The war to come will be a fight for the very survival of the species. For both sides in this conflict, now is the time to become what fate, and victory, demand. The Savages - post-human monsters who believe themselves to be gods - are intent on remaking civilization in their own violent and pathological image. Yet their alliance is tenuous.

Wow.
Revisado: 04-20-20
The enemy is not HOW you think. They're not the one dimensional monsters we've come to think we know. The Savages are known to us all. We, the reader, know them better than the very characters in the book do. I won't spoil it for you but I can't say anymore good things about this excellent book. Stephen Lang, the narrator and actor many of us recognize, is a talent with no equal.

They were the Savages. Raiders from our distant past. Elites who left Earth to create tailor-made utopias aboard the massive lighthuggers that crawled through the darkness between the stars. But the people they left behind on a dying planet didn't perish in the dystopian nightmare the Savages had themselves created: they thrived, discovering faster-than-light technology and using it to colonize the galaxy ahead of the Savages, forming fantastic new civilizations that surpassed the wildest dreams of Old Earth.

So Many Genres in Disguise
Revisado: 04-18-20
This is the War and Peace of science fiction. It's reminiscent of Asimov's Foundation in its size and scope. It touches upon many emotions and gets to the heart of the question, "What is humanity?" I was very impressed and will continue the series. Narration? Spot on. Stephen Lang is first rate.

What would happen if millions of people around the world suddenly disappeared one day? In this fascinating apocalyptic thriller, best-selling Christian inspirational authors LaHaye and Jenkins pool their considerable talents to answer that question. Narrator Richard Ferrone's unusually deep and hypnotic voice will keep you right in the middle of this not-unimaginable end of the world nightmare.

Great Story but Horrible Narration
Revisado: 01-16-20
I read through this series book right after book when it first came out. I gave a friend a copy of the first book and he got hooked. I wanted to listen through the series to get that nostalgic feel but the narrator is awful. Everyone sounds pretty much the same. He took an exciting book and made it as dull as a professor’s speech from Paint Drying 101.

It’s hard for a 5th book in a series to be the best so far. Especially when each book in the series is a 5 out of 5. This book was nothing short of perfection and I look forward to the next!!!!

Star Force is Back!
Revisado: 01-02-19
I reviewed this presentation under another account. I didn't realize I had downloaded it under my wife's account.
In any case here's a link to a full review: http://box5183.temp.domains/~notacuba/star-force-series-starship-pandora/
It's too long to post in here.
In any case, it was an excellent presentation. The cast was perfect. It was great revisiting old characters, and getting an explanation for things which weren't fully explain in the series...such as Crow's "enhancements".
My hope is that enough people will listen to his presentation and BV Larson will continue the Star Force series.
With Kyle though. I like Cody but you can't beat the original main character, Kyle Riggs, who is referenced quite a bit in this story.
